We stayed in the Cortland Room, which is absolutely beautiful with a private porch right off the room. Even though its an old house, it was very quiet. It was very peaceful to sit out there. Jeannie was a great host and her food was delicious - especially her french toast! The location of the house is within walking distance...

Thanks so much for taking the time to write a review, and for the nice comments. The French toast is one of my favorites too! I'm glad you enjoyed the location, and the service. Guests like you make it easy !

We spent one night in the Cottage Suite. Very convenient to park the car in their lot and walk to the restaurants and shops just down the street. Our room was clean and quiet and we slept well. We enjoyed breakfast which was almond encrusted amaretto French toast with real maple syrup, fresh fruit, and vanilla yogurt with fresh orange...

An excellent B and B in a beautifully restored and elegant home. Our room, the Braeburn, was very well appointed with a comfortable bed and bathroom. The house is perfectly situated to explore Old Town, Winchester by foot and there is ample parking behind the inn. Some lovely extras - like soft drinks, snacks, books and a fridge to put...

Thank you for this lovely review! It makes me feel very happy as an innkeeper when guests thoroughly enjoy the Inn and the experience, and Winchester's Old Town . We hope to see you again sometime !

Wife and I spent 2 nights there. Jeanne is the perfect host, and very knowledgeable about the area, and places to eat. She is also willing to make reservations at the local restaurants. Breakfasts were great, fresh fruit, quiche, sausage, toast and muffins one day, fruit, almond coated french toast and sausage the next. The house is quite well appointed...

We are a couple in our 60s and well traveled. We enjoy B&B establishments because they provide more "contact" than chain hotels. We stayed at Old Waterstreet Inn during September, 2015. Here are our observations: 1. Cleanliness: excellent. While this establishment was very quaint and inviting, it was also clean and that is VERY important. 2. Location: perfect. Shopping and...

My husband and I have been visiting B&B's for almost 20 years so I think we've seen the good and the bad. This B&B is neither, we were not impressed. Our bathroom was separate from the room, which we knew ahead of time, but there were plumbing problems in that bathroom from the time we arrived. We were asked to...

We were sorry to hear that your stay was not satisfactory. In speaking with you, I was unaware you were unhappy with these things. Unfortunately the prior guests had not told us about the minor plumbing problem , and since my husband was away, I was unable to repair it. It was repaired right after this. We apologize again for...

A beautiful structure, conveniently located within walking distance of Old Town. The room and bed were comfortable and this was one of the rare instances where we did not bring our own pillows in from the car because their pillows were excellent. Breakfast was delicious and presented very nicely. We only wish that we had the time on this trip...

Great place, beautifully decorated, central location, terrific breakfast. We booked the room with a private terrace and the only issue (minor) was privacy, with a wall of windows in the B&B's common area overlooking the terrace. It was a quiet weekday so not a big issue.

thanks for the positive comments, so glad you enjoyed your stay and I am always happy when guests notice my efforts! But I am sorry the windows bothered you when you were on the porch. We do call this a "private porch" but we are referring to the fact that no one else can use it. The large foyer /...

For our 33rd wedding anniversary, my husband and I booked two nights at the Old Waterstreet Inn. We arrived just before the streets were blocked off for the festivities. It was wonderful for two days to have no worries as the guests of the Inn with a beautiful (spotless!) room with art on the walls and books on the shelves,...

On short notice, we enjoyed a brief stay in Winchester, one of our favorite cities in VA. Our room was warm, cozy, very clean and oh what a bathroom! Jeannie made us feel welcome and cared for, and made sure we were set for dinner plans. This was part of our valentine weekend getaway, and the historic setting (but with...
