Our first time there and all five of us were blown away by the beauty of the resort itself as well as the amazing views. I would have given it a 5, but there were a few inconveniences due to the time we were there, which is their off season (between Labor Day and leaf season). The two best restaurants... More

The DC weather was too hot to do anything so my husband and I booked a last minute mountain get away for our anniversary last weekend. We expected a hotel room with a kitchenette, but were pleasantly surprised by the cute condo style space with a living room and kitchen on the first floor and a loft bedroom with a... More

Highly recommended, great resort. If you want unit with mountains views, call reception, they told me there is extra charge for that. But it is totally worth it, mountain views are breathtaking. We had top floor too, and we could see Milky Way at night, shooting stars, beautiful starry sky. We had unit 1648, in "Overlook" units. It has 4... More

We were a large group enjoying a long weekend late August at Wintergreen. The couple hired a number of houses and the large house we were in was perfect for entertaining with an amazing view. The wedding itself (I was a bridesmaid) seemed to be managed very well. They negotiated rain really well allowing the couple to delay the ceremony... More

We stayed in a 3 bedroom condo in August. The condo was decorated with a rustic, woodsy feel. I can imagine that it is quite cozy in the winter. However this unit is in need of a good cleaning and some minor repairs. And a better AC unit! There was no air on the second floor. Only way to get... More

Excellent place for a quiet mountain retreat. We went with another couple and got a 2 bedroom condo overlooking the mountains and valley. It was spectacular. The Devil's Knob golf restaurant had delicious meals. Wished there had been more people for tennis activities, but it was really empty of people.

We went here right at the onset of off season for a extended Easter weekend winery trip. The place was absolutely empty, so it was wonderfully quiet. Our loft room was adorable with 2 full bathrooms, a small complete kitchen, and lounge area complete with TV and electric fire place. The balcony overlooked the slopes, which was nothing special, but... More

The Blue Ridge Mountain views are the highlight of this resort for a summer visit. My retirement home is in the WV mountains, so the view was just like home. Every staff person I interacted with was very attentive and responsive. My room with kitchen was in one of the 40-year old original lodge buildings. It showed its age a... More

My husband and I spent the first weekend alone in about 4 years at wintergreen. While researching it online, it looked like a great place to be in the summer: easy access for hikes, a zip line, stand up paddleboarding and kayaking. But what really sold me were the pictures of the condos nestled in the mountains. I was picturing... More

I know this place is a ski resort, I have hiked on the slopes. But when the temps are up down on the flatlands this place is great place to get away to. Hiking, relaxing, and lots of great food, wineries, breweries, distilleries, and Cider makers in the area. I will be back!
