This hotel for the area is satisfactory. They can become a really good value by improving the small stuff - hotel staff being more engaged and welcoming, offering information about the property and its amenities without asking and be willing to make the guest feel welcom.
The rooms were decent, but yet stale smelling.
Given the location and other competing properties, they could just add a few bucks to the room rate and offer breakfast, it would be the best value in town.
The driveway to the coffee shop next door is a big drawback as they backup to the front door. Was a big nuisance to deal with.

We picked Coast 116 as it is really close to where we used to live and we knew the location is great for the Overlake Medical facilities. Having a great Woods Coffee next door is perfect.

Arriving ahead of the check in time we were advised that our room was not ready, however we could upgrade to a deluxe room for $20 or so Dollars if we wanted to check in right away. We chose not to but it was a nice option to be given.

We stayed in room 128 overlooking the parking lot on the side of the hotel. At check in we received a voucher for a coffee and breakfast item at Woods Coffee (very nice touch) and a voucher for 2 drinks at the new Down Under restaurant next door. The bed a King was very comfortable the room though a little dated, especially the bathroom was clean with an a/c-heater that worked great.. Great price for a Bellevue hotel that is not right downtown but just across the 405. The Bravern premium stores are a 10 minutes walk or the Rapid Line B stops just across the street for a direct link to Bellevue Transit Center. The Sound Transit 560 Express Seatac bus runs to be transit center also.

The only negative, the key cards that repeatedly failed on trying to enter our room needing multiple returns to reception to reprogram. The Hilton phone app door entry needs to be standardized across the industry, or simply return to the good old fashioned key.

The front desk staff were great

Great staff but the cleanliness needs more attention and the rooms could use some upgrades...like screens on the windows. We stayed over night because our son was having surgery early in the morning close by.
Oh and I 100% get Covid precautions but you could give a better selection of prewrapped snacks.....and coffee creamer would be nice.

The front desk staff was amazing. Helpful and friendly. You have many different restaurant options in close proximity, as well as a great restaurant onsite. There is shopping nearby, bus lines and freeway access if you need to go to Bellevue or Seattle.

Rooms were clean and newly updated.

Decent room upgrades but some parts of room are still very antiquated and front desk service left much to be desired. The restaurant is apparently only open for dinner so not helpful when attending a conference on site. Staff didn’t even let me know where my conference was located in the hotel because half of them didn’t even know what I was talking about. Not very ADA friendly and the elevator broke right after I arrived. Overall, not very impressed and I don’t think the conference organization will recommend having the meeting at this location again.

Stayed six nights and for the price I paid Hotel 116 exceeded my wife and my expectations. We arrived at 1pm asking if we could leave our bags to grab some lunch and their response was to accommodate an early check-in! The staff was attentive, friendly, patient, and willing to work with us to take care of our needs – and quick to respond. A phone request for fresh towels arrived at our door within five minutes. Awesome.
Our room was clean, everything was in good working order, and well supplied. We had a first floor room facing the inner courtyard which was quiet the entire time we stayed. The only minor complaint I had was there is a sconce right outside our window that shined brightly around the end of the curtains which I could not draw out to the wall to block the light.
Location is central to Bellevue with very easy access to the highway, gas station, and dining. The location feels safe, but not quite pedestrian friendly due to the wide and long roadways. Parking is free and plentiful, but beware the adjoining Woods Cafe is popular with cars lining up for the drive through snaking directly in front of the main lobby. If you're parked out front, you can be trapped until someone lets you out of your parking stall, then you have to wait as the drive through inches forward until you drive clear. Best to park on the side or rear.
There is inside access to the Woods Cafe, a pretty good local chain serving coffee, sandwiches, and pastry. Also in the hotel is DwnUndr restaurant and bar. The menu is limited, but adequately prepared and quite tasty; and importantly, open until 10pm. The bar is similarly limited, they were out of several types of drinks and they seem to close early.
TV worked fine and it accepts an HDMI input so I could connect my device to watch downloaded media directly from my devices. WI-Fi ranged from 32MBPS to 150MBPS depending on time of day. There's a fridge in the room and communal microwaves in a lounge next to the front lobby.
Overall, this place was a great value and we will likely return.

This hotel is a decent value for the price we paid ($115/night on Priceline). The hotel is older and our room (143) is in desperate need of a renovation, esp the bathroom. Lobby looks nice. Indifferent clerk at check in. Our room faced the interior courtyard which would be nice in warm weather but possibly noisy with all the games and things to do out there. It was rainy during our stay. Very comfy bed. Very dated furniture and wallpaper, appeared to be from the 1990s. Sink area had been renovated with a cheap basin that was stained. Bathtub had odd stains and moldy grout. Stains everywhere including pen stains on curtain and chairs. There were hairs on my pillow (not mine or my partner's). Good location, we enjoyed the Woods Coffee onsite and Chick Fil A next door. Housekeeping Set your expectations and this hotel is a decent value, but if you're expecting high end or updated rooms, stay elsewhere. I'd give it a B-/C+.

Beds are doubles which is tough when you're trying to put 4 in a room but the beds were comfortable, room was clean, shower hot and I love that the windows open. I appreciate being able to get fresh air into the room. Overall very sastified. Would stay again.

My husband and I needed a reasonably priced place to stay a few nights while our hardwood floors were being refinished, and we needed to bring our lab mix pooch. I had been by Hotel 116, which is connected to Woods Coffee (Excellent espresso, breakfast sandwiches and pastries!) and the DwnUndr Neighborhood Kitchen & Bar (great food & atmosphere), but had never stayed at the hotel. Booking.com had a great deal, and we are so glad we chose Hotel 116. Very nice lobby, friendly front desk staff, and a coupon for the DwnUnder - which was great.

The king bed room was roomy, clean, and had a very comfortable bed. It also had an easy chair w/ottoman, cute dining table and chairs, chest of drawers, desk, fridge, coffee maker, and nice vanity area. The central outdoor courtyard with tables & chairs would be a nice respite from the busy downtown traffic - and had games - fun! There was a lovely outdoor pool, a cute enclosed outdoor dog park with poop bags and diposal can. All of these amenities made Hotel 116 a very pleasant home away from home.

The reason I gave them a 4 star rating instead of 5 stars: The carpeting in our room had wrinkles and needed to be stretched smooth or replaced. Also, the bathroom just had a few places that needed grout or some finishing, but this was nothing major. Everything worked, we felt safe and we were grateful for Hotel 116 providing a very positive experience.

This is an excellent place to stay. The remodel of a few years ago did wonders. The room was great and very comfortable. They were able to change my reservation about a week before without any problem. The location, just off I-405 in downtown Bellevue puts it close to many things. The only reason this has a four star rating is that there is no breakfast available. There is a coffee shop owned by another company at the other end of the building that has some pastries or such but no real breakfast. I wish I had known so I could have planned ahead.

How's the WiFi at this hotel?
Answer from terrylU1183GN
Spokane, United States2 contributions2 helpful votes
It will take you at least half an hour to deplane and get to the luggage carrousel and more time to retrieve your valise. Waiting for an Uber of Lyft will take another fifteen minutes. More, if you rent a car. Then, it's at least another 45 minutes in afternoon traffic to travel between SeaTac and Bellevue. So you will not arrive before 2:30-3:30 p.m., which is frequently a good time to check-in. Give the hotel a heads-up and you should be fine.
Answer from Kelly F
Hello DiasG36, Unfortunately no, we do not offer free breakfast. We do have a coffee shop located inside the hotel that does offer breakfast.

I believe the ceiling height in the deluxe rooms is higher and the view from the window is better. As far as other differences, I don't know of any but have liked all the rooms in which I have stayed in this hotel. Most of all I like the attitude of the employees who all seem to go out of their way to make their guests feel at home. I stay there every time I am in Bellevue for work. I look forward to my stay there.

Go North to Downtown Kirkland. It is right on the beach of Lake Washington. If you drive North of Bellevue on Lake Washington Blvd, there are small swim beaches and sun bathing beaches along that route on Lake Washington.
