We have stayed here several years in a row as a base for our climbing trips in the North Cascades. I cant tell you how friendly the owners are. How great the renovated rooms are for the price. How spotlessly clean everything is. This family runs a great establishment. We wont stay anywhere else. Walking distance to REI, Haggen grocery, Dollar store, many, many restaraunts and downtown Bellingham just a short ride or 15 minute walk away. You wont be disappointed staying here!!

We were happy to discover the Coachman Inn, a centrally located, meticulously clean and well maintained motel at an affordable price. The room was simply furnished, included room darkening drapes and a coffee maker. Beds were comfortable. Not fancy, but perfect for a good night's sleep. Breakfast is provided, although we were having brunch with nearby family, so didn't partake. There is easy access from I-5 and from the hotel to central Bellingham with many eateries, a pharmacy, and other necessities nearby.
We left abruptly a day early due to winter weather warning and left some items behind in the room. Although we regretted having to ask, the owner was very gracious about promptly mailing the items to us.
Coachman Inn will definitely be our go-to lodging for future trips to Bellingham.

Because of massive flooding in the Bellingham area, our selected hotel reservations were cancelled and we had to find alternate accommodation at the last minute. We only needed one night prior to a flight the following morning so looked online for a reasonable option close to the Bellingham airport. The Coachman Inn was half the price of every other option and the location and reviews seemed fine so we gave it a try. I’m so glad we did! Clean room. Comfy bed. Coffee maker and mini fridge. Complimentary continental breakfast. No alarm clock in the room but the wake up call we requested was reliable. Lots of food options nearby. Very friendly front desk. Certainly not a luxury property, but completely satisfactory and filled our needs. Well pleased with our experience here

The motel is older but well maintained.there is staff there 24hours. The owners take great pride in the facility.they are friendly, kind and helpful. When the airport rental car fell through,I was stuck with no trsnsport. they found me an uber driver who was great!it saved my vacation plans.they have very good coffee in the lobby in the mornings. Everything worked in the room-toilet,tv,lights,plugs,ac.there was great water pressure for my shower and the water was nice and hot which I prefer.seems like there was a lot of guests but I never heard them.they h ave security cameras which was important for me as a solo traveler
Pool was closed which I expected due to covid. I noticed it was fenced.

This is a good hotel for those passing through.
Both staff we interacted with were friendly and welcoming. The staff member working late when we checked in was informative and made sure we made it to our room safely. The staff member in the morning welcomed me with a happy smiling face which is just what I needed!
The beds were comfortable enough, but were more on the hard side. Each bed only came with 2 pillows (might be because they were doubles?) so note that if you prefer more! The sheets were clean.
The bathroom was clean with the exception of a few hairs high on the shower wall.
The room was slightly muggy when we arrived but turning the AC on helped that almost immediately.
It was easy to find and close to lots for dinner or breakfast.

This hotel is a great deal. I typically do not stay at places in this low price range due to bad experiences but we booked 4 rooms with other family members graduation weekend because other options were already booked. I was pleasantly surprised. The family that runs it are very nice, personable, and accommodating. They let us check in early, brought us extra linens. The rooms and grounds were clean and well-kept. Evening was in working order and the beds were comfortable. It was too chilly to use the pool but it looked to be in excellent condition. It was also a quiet place. While it does not have the pleasant convenience of downtown, it is far better than the strip. There was a variety of restaurants within a block's walk. It's clear the family takes pride in their business. I would definitely stay there again.

the bad news first: charmless, slightly dingy exterior,in a charmless street full of chain stores and cheap hotels.
the good news: once you're inside, it's indistinguishable from a hotel that costs twice as much. Nice room, clean, quiet, good wi-fi. Great place for a "pit stop". Very friendly staff, too.

Rooms were a little quaint and a little tight but comfortable.
Room: very clean and refrigerator was a nice touch. AC unit was very quiet - loved it! Everything looked well maintained. There was a communal microwave in the hall which we both liked. After a day of touring, sometimes you just want something simple to heat up and take to your room instead of going out to eat all the time.
Breakfast: continental but lots of great choices and healthy selections.
Pool, exercise room, self serve laundry on site.
Mohinder and his family run the place and from the looks of it, they get lots of repeat business - rightfully so. They were all very friendly and helpful.
Walking distance to Walgreens which came in handy when I got sick.
We would stay here again.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! The employees at the front on 12/7 around 3:45-4:00pm absolutely embarrassed my friend while we were checking in. After he explained the animal with us was a service dog, they told him that his dog wasn’t a service animal because it barked. We then showed him proof on my friends cell phone (the same certificate the dog uses to fly on airplanes) , after we explained that if he did not accept our stay that we would report them to authorities, the front desk person decided to THROW the cell phone on the floor ($1500 phone) and kick us out. Absolutely horrific experience avoid this hotel at all costs. The man at the front is very dangerous

After traveling 5 long days on the road it was a wonderful surprise to check in at the Coachman Inn. The owner was at the front desk, as was the the night shift clerk. Both were friendly, welcoming and engaging.
The whole process was a most pleasant experience. The Continental Breakfast was more than we expected. Cereals, fruits, fresh baked good, yogurt, juices, coffee teas, etc. The hotel we stayed at the previous night advertised it, but all we saw was coffee. Not even an option for tea.
