sites and roadways need tree cut back so branches are not dragging on the sides of RV's and particularly the rubber roofs of high RV;s and motor-homes. These RV's are very expensive and the Rubber Roofs can and will be damaged by these trees that are not maintained properly at these high levels. The camp ground has a policy to check that RV's are in good shape to use the camp ground but if the camp ground roadways are not maintained properly so tree branches are not dragging on the sides and roofs of these expensive RV's the water leaks from the rubber roofs damaged by the branches tearing the roof material will ruin these RV's very quickly. Please have maintenance clean up the camp sites or hire a tree company with a lift truck to cut the high tree branches that are dragging on the roofs of RV motor-homes and trailers as these trees are damaging the rubber roofs.

This was our first time at a 1000 trails… we typically boondock or camp in FS campgrounds and then go to KOA/RV camps to do laundry every week or so…

sites were clean and well spaced, most sites were hidden from the site next door by vegetation.

We used the pool and laundry facilities, and were happy with the condition. They have a sweet RC car track that we didn’t get to use but looks awesome.

Depending on where your sit is you get more or less freeway noise. Also I would recommend check on the raceway schedule there and making sure you’re NOT there on a racing weekend. The engine noise was astounding until about 11 at night for us. Not good, but just something to be aware of for this location.

This property allows non-members to reserve and stay. The campground/cabins were clean and quiet in a beautiful setting. Check in was efficient, but not exactly friendly. The front desk person wasn’t unfriendly, just sort of neutral. Prior to booking, I was not informed of any closures or cleaning responsibilities. If I had known, I would have booked anyway, but knowledge beforehand would have been nice. The store and pool were closed for the season but we weren’t going to use them so no matter. I would have like to have been told about needing to strip the beds, take out the trash and sweeping the floors before so I could budget my check out time.

This Thousand Trails property was a pleasant surprise and so close to most of Snohomish/Skagit/Whatcom/Island county campers. The cabins were some of the best we've experienced in all the state parks, county parks, KOAs and other Thousand Trails, we've ever stayed at. The staff is attentive and fun. The pool was great. Wish there weren't so many full time people taking up sites, but not actually staying at them, though. When we arrived a day early for Labor Day weekend, there were not a lot of sites to choose from, some looked like the RVs sat for weeks and weeks. But all around, a great spot! Clean bathrooms and pool and clubhouse.

Though the staff was friendly at check in, the un level spaces and loud freeway noise left much to be desired. The water hook up spewed water everywhere, much like the shower did in the women's bath house. When we went to get a "bite" at the casino, just adjacent to the park, the food options were minimal, though priced as if you were in downtown Seattle. We won't be returning to this property again.

other than noise from I-5 being so close i was pleased with the the park, it provided what i needed for the event in the area i came to too see. it is definitely
not someplace to sit in the peacefulness and sit and read a book, Maybe a conversation with DOT .dot WA about a sound wall could happen and a huge improvement could be made. At 4:30 in the afternoon it felt like i was parked on the side of Freeway. minus the movement of my rig from passing vehicles

Check in inspections should be consistent across the board with all TT. Hold the occupants of trashy trailers and sites to the same standards that you are implementing on paying members. Very quiet in the G section with lots of shade from trees.

The staff and manager at this park are wonderful!
They hosted a windup day on the September long weekend that included a complimentary lunch, games, cake and other fun events.
The staff put so much work into this event even though they were all tired from a long summer season. Thanks to all of you.

The facility and RV sites are great. As someone staying in a tent, I felt that we were mislead as to what we were paying for when making the online reservation. Staying in an open field with ZERO privacy, is not worth $50 per night. The large groups that had arrived before us had taken all of the picnic tables and limited tree-ish areas, leaving us with the middle of what appeared to be a soccer field. In my 40+ years of camping, I’ve never felt more frustrated when paying these kinds of camping fees. This is NOT what is shown on the website. When we went back and asked the office staff, I was told there was nothing they could do about it but offered to move us to another campground 20mins away. Maybe it would be better? Unfortunately, we had booked this location because of the laundry and Wi-if (my friend needed it for work), so we had to make this work. The girl at the counter said for $80 more, we could have an RV site. Tired and defeated, we paid the additional fees. I have never felt more unheard or ripped off. They value money, not people. We made the place work. The bathrooms were clean and the laundry was nice, so that was nice. However, I will forever find somewhere else to stay in my future camping experiences…all thanks to the heartless girl who works at the front counter.

Large RV park with tent sites available. Most sites are cut in with mature trees. Plenty of space for long walks and a dog run. Plenty of restroom / shower facilities throughout the park . Nice pool, clubhouse and newer laundry facilities. Suggestion for a maintenance area ($fee$) for full timers to do light, routine mechanical work. Staff is very friendly and helpful!

Is there any fire pits in the tent campground
Answer from Brenda G
Fresno, California70 contributions27 helpful votes
Even tho we have a tent, our membership does not limit us to the the area designated for tents only. We get a campsite that has water and electric. All of those water/electric campsites have a picnic table an a fire ring. I would not call it a "fire pit" because it will just be a circle of rocks or bricks that is in an area of your campsite that is not threatening to nearby trees. I do not know if the tent-only areas have fire rings. I also do not know if Mount Vernon has any tent-only areas. Not all of the TT/Naco campgrounds have "tent-only" areas.

Yes, bring your tote. The sewer sites are very limited and pretty packed together. Better site options with no sewer.

I'm currently at this location and "played" mini golf yesterday. One garden bed has been tilled and one golf hole has been redone. Most of the golf holes are in terrible condition. One even has a crack and frost heave half way down the green that juts up a half an inch. They didn't have any score cards. It would be handy to have a broom to sweep all the tree droppings off of the course. It's seen better days. Maybe it'll be done by next season.
