My husband and I and another couple spent two relaxing nights at The Essence of Health Retreat. This is a great place to use as a base to visit Mount St Helens and surrounding area. Garry and Regina are wonderful hosts with lots of suggestions and help for your visit to the mountain. The retreat is a 2 bedroom addition...

We spent a night in this delight full home of Regina and Garry. The guest(s) has a separate suite with queen bedroom and well appointed great room with large sitting area, kitchen table, and full kitchen. It is make your own breakfast with many choice provided. If you choose to get a massage ask for Regina. I would not recommend...

What an excellent 2 bedroom/1 bath cottage that backs up into a state park! Quiet, homey, relaxing. Owners are very accommodating! If you want an open-space retreat close to Mount St. Helens, this is it!

We had trouble locating this place. If you follow the link on their website for directions you'll never get there. We didn't see a hot tub here but there is a sauna. The weather was in the 90's so neither were necessary. The sauna would be nice in the winter. We stayed two nights here. We got up early in...

I can't find enough superlatives to describe our three night stay at Essence of Health Retreat. There is no question that it is the best place to stay when visiting Mt. St. Helen's, but it is so much more than that. As much as we loved the Mt. St. Helen's experience, many of our fondest memories will be of sitting...

After traveling for two weeks in the Pacific Northwest, the Essence of Health Retreat was our last stop before returning to Seattle to fly east. WOW! This is nothing like a hotel or even a B&B. It is an apartment complete with stocked kitchen, bedroom (with a wonderfully comfortable bed), gas fireplace, and hot tub on the porch. How marvelous...

I highly recommend staying at the Essence of Health while visiting Mt St. Helens and Mt. Rainier. We stayed 2 nights and loved having an entire suite of rooms rather than a hotel room. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fireplace and the overall rustic vibe of the place. The decor was very Pacific Northwest. Much care has gone...

After much searching, I found this wonderful B&B near Mount Saint Helens. The accommodations were 2 bedrooms with a combined living/dinning/kitchen area. All was very tastefully appointed. We had just left Portland - where the temperature was 100+. I was concerned that the temperature in the rooms would be uncomfortable since there is not AC. - I called and we...

We stayed two nights and would stay there again in a heartbeat. The minute we walked in we were pleasantly surprised about how tastefully decorated and beautiful this place was. The pictures on the internet don't do it justice. It's gorgeous, but not overdone. Very, very tasteful. Colors beautiful and inviting. One can easily see that lots of thought was...

Tired from our roadtrip we decided to look for a quiet place to stay, away from the hustle and bustle, so we could catch our breath. While in the car, I found Essence of Health on Tripadvisor, and called on a whim to see if they had same day availability. Although they don't usually accommodate same-day guests, the hosts were...
