Just did a water aerobics class taught by Sarah at Suncadia and it was awesome! The outdoor pool was warm and the air clear and crisp. Sarah got us moving and those early morning aches and pains were gone. I'll visit again! - The Swim & Fitness center itself needs some love and attention.

The property is absolutely beautiful, food was delicious but the lodge is in need of some room updates. We were put in the wrong unit (intentionally because of a double booking error) so we were somewhat disappointed as the experience wasn't all it was supposed to be.

The cleanliness of our room was awful. Crumbs on the floor in the kitchen, dog poop in the yard on the patio, crumbs all over the inside of drawers in the kitchen, soap scum or some other residue on the bench in the shower, damaged furniture, and trash left behind in a can in the bedroom. We have definitely stayed at much better hotels for less than $300/night. The lack of room service was a huge issue and eating at the restaurant was not an option because they were at capacity. No one mentioned to get reservations if you wanted to eat at Portals or that room service would not be offered. If you don't plan in advance to get what you need at the convenience store, you are out of luck after 2pm. There is ZERO enforcement of mask wearing policies such that it feels unsafe to be there, especially with a child.

For the price and quality of the resort, I would expect tech house to be better cleaned. The kitchen was VERY poorly stocked with only one small pot with no lid, and frying pans that belong in the recycling bin. The cabinets were a scrambled mess, hard to find anything. The master bedroom blinds were broken. The house was gorgeous and in need to some TLC and better property care.

My husband and I were so excited to stay here for a long-weekend getaway! At first glance, the room layout was great with a mini-fridge and kitchenette and the hotel grounds were super neat and tranquil. As the days went on we noticed quite a few disappointing things… a sheer carelessness from the young (early 20’s) front desk staff as if they couldn’t be bothered for simple things like more trash bags and ice. The great room we thought we had turned out to be rather worn-down with mold the shower walls, shower curtain (which they’re clearly not washing), makeup/dirt on the sheets from a previous user, etc…the room felt overly loved for how much we were paying per night. One of the biggest disappointments was the lack of respect the staff allowed guests to have towards one another. All 4 nights we were there the outdoor pool below the higher paying view side of the lodge had children and intoxicated adults yelling and screaming until 10pm or later with no hotel staff in site. We even had the pleasure of watching one guest yell profanities from his balcony at a rowdy family in the pool for 15mins back and forth…again with no hotel staff stepping-in. It was very disappointing to also find out that all the rooms are privately owned so the hotel was renting our room to us for a certain price, but the same room was available for $80+ less per night on Air BnB and VRBO….which might be a part of the room up-keep issues… owners are in charge of that and not being held to a higher standard. We will definitely be coming back to Suncadia to enjoy the winery (AMAZING and not owned by the hotel which says something…) and possibly rent one of the non-lodge homes for a hopes of a better experience. The views and grounds are breathtaking and we just wish the hotel was up to the same par.
