Stayed in cabin 7 over Valentine's Day weekend. It's off season so not crowded but the people who were there we found to be very friendly. The place is gorgeous and comfortable. The resort has great curb appeal, as evidenced by the large volume of walk-in reservations that we observed while shopping in the gift shop. We toured many of...

We stopped here for one night on our trip down to Oregon. Our cabin was not available so they moved us into a bigger cabin, but a cheaper price (SCORE!). We stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin, with kitchen, living room and bathroom, Front porch was a nice touch. We watched a couple deer grazing from the kitchen window. It...

We are from the Atlanta, Ga. Area and stayed here because it was one of the closest motels to Mount St. Helens. We usually stay in a national chain hotel. We were very pleased with the cabin, the staff, ownership and restaurant. Even though it is the only place in town, they did not try to take advantage of that...

My husband and I bought our very first RV. We decided that our first camp out in it should be somewhere special. I was trying to think of a really unique place when I remembered passing by the Lone Fir Resort in Cougar Wa, about 30 minutes from us. I called to make reservations and I talked to Jeremy, who...

We supposedly got complaints for slamming doors in the middle of the afternoon, but nothing was ever said to us about it until we came back in the evening. You can not use a BBQ if you are not in a camp sight. Even though the golf cart wannabe cop drove by several time and commented how great the food...

Lone Fir Resort is a mixture of motel rooms, individual cabins, RV spaces, and camping for tents. I met my sister and her boys here. They were in an RV. I had a tent. For just $5 extra I was able to put my tent up in the same space as the RV, and there was plenty of room for...

we stayed before and after the Mt. St. Helen's hike. Staff was great - very nice, friendly - from the front desk people to the Cleaning staff. It is deffinitely a rustic, 1970's resort appeal. Outdoor pool but no hot tub. Our room was nice - Rustic setting, big comfortable bed. There were minor flaws in caulking, but....it's a motel...

My husband and I stayed here on our way home from motorcycling the Oregon Coast. We had lunch in Woodland OR where we met a couple bikers who recommended going to Cougar to see the Ape Caves. It was late in the day and we decided to stay at this resort and be able to check out the nearby caves...

This place has a new owner, watch out. We were quoted one price and charged almost $20.00 more for the each night. The new owner yelled at a friend who was checking on our safety after being on the mountain all night. The owner was very rude in both body language and the way he spoke to the three of...

Nice lodge near Mt Saint Helens! It offers rustic rooms at a competitive price. There's so much to do (all within a reasonable distance) and at the end of a day of hiking and exploring, there's a pool to relax by and a restaurant with fair-priced and delicious eats (especially the pizza). The staff is friendly and local, so they...
