Visited Orcas Island with a groupon. Stayed in a lodge room and was very nice. All we needed as we spent our time seeing the island. Took 7 hours to get there from Victoria (Canada) so had dinner in the on site restaurant. Was very...More
This area (San Juan Islands, WA) is the best kept secret of the Pacific Northwest. Deer Harbor Inn was intimate and quiet. The staff was helpful; however, they weren't around most of our stay. The rooms are small, but comfortable - maximum of 2 occupants....More
We booked the entire Lodge and Pond Cottage to house many of the guests for our daughter's wedding, and had our rehearsal dinner at the wonderful onsite Deer Harbor Restaurant. We even used Deer Harbor Catering for the wedding itself at a different site. It...More
The Pond Cottage was very nice, nicely appointed, stocked very well. The beds were awesome, tho' we do not sleep well on foam. We ate out mostly, the restaurant on site was very nice; not open as advertised. It was expensive!

Honestly, I got a great deal from groupon, but I would pay full price to stay here. They did some obvious upgrades, so now both rooms have king size beds and a futon in the living room. I would say that six people may have...More

The above answers seem to tell it all. Our cell phones did not work in that area of the island. We did not even try the WiFi as we were there to get away from it all. The TV was small and we never turned it on. We did not get a chance to eat at the restaurant, as it was only open in the evenings. We would spend the day in other parts of the island, and had always eaten by the time we came back to the lodge. Breakfast consisted of some yogurt, some breakfast bars, and some coffee that can hold you over until you can go out to seek breakfast. This is a great get-away spot, not a resort.
