A stay in a caboose is infrequent but worthwhile once. Amidst a blanket of history yet the blanket on the bed cannot eliminate the cold. The heater was useless and loud. No TV, no radio, no wifi. The unit was clean and tidy. Nice soaps and towels. It was cold and the bed needs a new mattress. Ok once.

I found the Hobo Inn while looking for places to stay while visiting Mt. Rainier and Mt. Saint Helens. Thought it was unique that the railroad cars had been turned in to hotel rooms. The check-in process took some time. We arrived around 6 pm and the woman who was to check us in (and another couple waiting) was also...

I have no significant complaint(s) about our stay there. It was fun and there's something unique about sleeping in a converted caboose. Now for the good to know information: Not all the units have air conditioning and if you go during one of those rare times where there's oppressive heat, it will be HOT. I don't know about all the...

this inn was a lot of fun since your room is actually a train caboose. Your price of the room was not bad and a full sized breakfast is included. I remember I order a meal and wanted a side of strawberries and got a bowl filled with fresh berries topped with whip cream and sprinkles. The only thing I...

We stayed in the yellow caboose, #4 and it was far bigger than I imagined. My boyfriend and I were there just for one night and had a great time. I'd definitely stay again. The windows didn't open but the back and front doors did, so we got a nice breeze. There was a TV that only played vhs tapes,...

Okay, I'll start with Abby, the most awesome girl ever! Our 7 year old left his stuffed animal "Buddy" in the blankets in our caboose. It wasn't until that night at bedtime (we'd already checked into our next hotel for the night) that we realized he'd been left. I called immediately and spoke with someone telling them how important this...

We stayed here one night while visiting nearby park. Accommodations are very different, size of the room is very euro. Although it has 2 beds, barely enough room for luggage, and a tiny bathroom. BUT, it's about the experience. This isn't a room you're going to stay in long, perfect to just come back after hiking and rest. My only...

We knew from previous reviews not to expect much and so were not disappointed. We decided to stay there simply because it was so very different. Each room was an actual caboose that had been renovated into rooms. We had one with two queen beds but they were not overly comfortable. Even as a 5'4" woman I had to sit...

Definitely a unique place to stay. We stayed in a red caboose. Comfortable, clean. Convenient to Mount Rainier. The bathroom is a little cramped, but it is a train car after all. The shower stall could have used a caddy for soap, razer, etc. There is not really much flat surface space for bags, suitcases. Breakfast in the restaurant is...

First of all if you are heading to Mt.Rainer, have some where to stay booked in advance. Secondly, if you are looking for unusual accommodations, this is it. We stayed one night in the yellow caboose. Very basic. Double bed which was too small for a 6'3" person. No TV, no wiFi. Expensive for what you get unless what you...
