I never stay at Hampton Inn's. I generally think they have lousy breakfasts and no bar for after work. Just not my kind of hotel when I travel like I do. I stayed here because of location... and it certainly out performed my expectations / previous experiences.
Front Desk Staff - Couldn't be nicer
Breakfast Bar / Attendant - BY FAR, the nicest, cleanest, best stocked of any previous Hampton Inn Stays with excellent options
Creamer Cups & Sugar Packets - Not Prepackaged Dried "stuff" Hate that
Nicely Decorated. In otherwards, the decor made the hotel feel nicer
Stuff to buy at the front desk. Display's were full and layout nicely.. not just tossed in or in boxes. Inviting.
Thank you to the staff and management who set the standard. Well done

Jerri greeted us when we arrived at the hotel. She was friendly, funny, personable, and very welcoming. The hotel room was large and spacious for all of us. We used the pool, hot tub, and fitness center. The free breakfast was also nice. I really enjoyed our stay here.

Terrific stay with clean and modern rooms. I just don't get why parking isn't included in this suburban location, and it's charged automatically. Plenty of nearby chain restaurants also make this a convenient experience.

The Hampton Inn in Federal Way, WA, has really gone downhill. We have stayed there multiple times in the past, but will not be staying there again. Our last stay was in September, 2024.
We had booked a king-sized bed room months in advance. When arriving at 8pm on our check-in day, the front desk person said there were no king sized bed rooms available, except one for the disabled on the 1st floor. He offered to “upgrade” us to a queen-sized suite with 2 beds. We accepted. The room was just ok - the tp holder was broken and the toilet paper was just stuck on one of the arms; also half of the hand towel bar in the vanity was missing, so it was not usable. The shampoo dispenser in the shower was empty. We notified the front desk immediately about these issues (we were there for 3 days) because we were charged $150 for incidentals when checking in, but nothing was done. The coffee, which used to be great, was terrible tasting and watery.
We did not rent a car, because we had seen a warning in online reviews about the fact that car break-ins in the parking lot are extremely common. (Our daughter/granddaughter live nearby and could pick us up.) Our first night at this hotel there were 20 car break-ins!

First of all, our three night stay average was $263 per night; I consider that expensive for a Hampton Inn. The room was an average HI in a convenient location in terms of shopping and restaurants. The showers have large containers for shampoo, conditioner, and body gel. Our conditioner container was totally empty on our first day! It had to take many stays of not being filled to be all gone, I would think! Our daughter also had an issue with being given two conditioners and no shampoo. We did not receive room service once in our three days (and did request it twice when it seemed like nothing was forthcoming). Our small trash cans were overflowing and we had to request towels. We are Honors members but were given no indication of that when we checked in. The breakfast service during the week ends at 9 a.m., which seems early; isn't the cut-off uusually 10 or at least 9:30? I also didn't like the fact that we left a tip in the bathroom for our housekeeper (who never came); instead when the person came to fill our conditioner (which should have been full in the first place), s/he took the tip.

I have stayed here several times a year since it opened. This time I will not be back. On check in no more welcome smiles or greetings. The room needs updating with torn furniture and peeling wall paper. The shower looked like a 5 year old went crazy with a calm gun. Hot water was just barely hot enough to call a hot shower. Coffee pot didn’t work and smelled of burning. Reported to the desk but no action during the stay. The service over three night was getting clean towels once. If you can’t provide service please do not hold yourself out as a quality brand. Mattress was likewise barely tolerable. Coffee in lobby not refilled and finally the only effort actually made was to have QR code signs everywhere to pay for extras such as tips and parking in an open lot. Sorry but travelers need to beware of what once was a really special place being run into the ground.

Please do yourself a favor and do not stay here. I have been a diamond Hilton memebers for over 7 years and this is by far the worse run hotel I have ever stayed at.

First, they have people park in the fire lane of the hotel to keep cars safe from break ins. A man who was screening at the desk clerk when I arrived had his car broken into 2 in the last month. But it is not safe to park cars in the fire lane. They need to pay a security guard to guard the parking lot.$

My AC was broken for 4 days and each day I asked to have it fixed and they never fixed it. I found out later they did not have in house maintenance. They keep telling me that it worked fine and that it was motion activated. It was not!! It was broken!!!

If you stay on the side of the hotel which faces I5, the traffic noise is overwhelming.

I was to stay at this location for another week but I left and stayed in the Hampton in Puyallup. It was safe, clean and my AC worked.

Air conditioning was fantastic. Staff was really great! Room was not ready upon arrival. Room was not cleaned properly. Previous guest had left dirty socks in corner of room under drapes and popcorn on desk chair. Desk trim on drawer was falling off and poking into me as I worked. Annoying. Complimentary breakfast should probably not be advertised. A prepackaged muffin, coffee and orange juice not really what I was expecting. And I really wasn’t expecting much. And why in the holy hell would the coffee maker be kept in the bathroom? I am an all day coffee drinker while I work. No way would I ever consider using a coffee maker stored in a bathroom that probably gets a quick wipe down, if that, before each guest. The germ and ick factor makes me squirm. Charging extra per night for parking is ridiculous. There are parking lots for miles. This isn’t downtown Seattle where parking can be scarce.

This is the worst hotel I ever stayed at. Website is deceiving. I stayed for a few days and found out that they completely do not do housekeeping for guests anymore. It's the guests who stays for more than 5 nights to arrange housekeeping. They would not discard trash or remove dirty towels at all or replace toiletries in the bathroom. For a 177 dollars a day, I will not be staying here again.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback regarding your stay with us. I am very sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your stay with us, and that Hilton's policy on daily housekeeping service did not meet your needs. Although this is a Hilton Worldwide policy, we understand that it is some adjustment for our guests. All guests may request any amenities, such as towels, at the front desk. We appreciate your feedback and will take your comments and look for ways we can continue to improve. Thank you,

One of the cleanest hotels ever stayed at and service was par-none. Staff running breakfast each morning were so nice and helpful and offered a little something different each day. Front desk responded to room requests quickly. Pool and hot tub area was also clean and had plenty of towels. Definitely will stay again when in area

When checking in, the front desk will authorize your debit/credit card, for Room and Tax plus an incidental amount for the duration of your stay.

I dont think the light rail runs from Airport to hotel or hotel to downtown. Probably a bus. If you are trying to see downtown Seattle, stay closer. Traffic can be bad getting downtown from Federal Way depending on time of day.

All of the Hampton Inns I have stayed in have had microwaves and refrigerators. The Federal Way location was no exception.
