The stay was good. Except the hot tub was unbearably hot and the tiles in the pool and hot tub were dirty. Also, the main hotel light constantly flickered. It was clean besides that and comfortable!!!!

Traveled 70+ miles for a family party for my grandson's departure into the military, was double charged for the stay, and have gotten NO response from the manager or the parent company. It was advertised a complementary breakfast ... that turned out to be a chew bar and a kids drink. The ice machine was on the first floor only and none of the other floors, the bathroom was dirty and need updating. No trash can in the main room area and only 1 cup for the whole room and two people. The check out lady was nice and helpful

This is quite possibly the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The smell is the first thing you notice when you walk in. Stale cigarette smoke and depression. The room was so dirty. Food left under the desk and glass on the floor. The room we stayed in was the second room that we got after the first room still had pizza boxes and food all over the floor. There was white crusty stuff all over the head board and brown stuff smeared on the wall. When I told them about the problem I was given cleaner and a rag. The beds smelled like someone peed on them and they tried to cover it up. Stains all over the mattress and I up with a rash. I couldn't find another hotel available in the area so I bought a sleeping bag and a pillow and used those to sleep with. The sheets had dog hair? Weaved into the fabric and there were more public hairs in the bathroom than I think anyone has on their bodies. The only thing this hotel has going for it, is that the shower was hot and the toilet paper was decent quality.

When I checked in I agreed to a $100.00 deposit just in case if I smoked in the room. I'am a smoker but I never smoked in the room I always stepped outside to smoke during my stay. I was denied the $100.00 deposit because apparently the room smelt like smoke. I stay in multiple non-smoking motels through the week because of my I job and I have never had this problem. Bottom line it's a scam so they can line the inside of their little pockets. So beware of their little scam folks. Let's get real here, my room ended up being $184.00 for 1 night do you really think I would've purposely smoked in the room racking my bill up to $184.00 to stay in this super dump ? Definitely lost my returning business

I was incredibly disappointed in the Ferndale Super 8’s during this stay. Their performance was not at all in line with what I've experienced at Wyndham properties in the past.

Our confirmed reservation, booked in August, was for two queen beds as our group was three adults. On the morning of check-in, Friday 9/16, I received a phone call that there "may" be an issue with our reservation, but no details or suggested fixes, just asking if we really needed our room (yes, we really need the room we reserved).
This was obviously concerning, so at 6:30pm I called the hotel to confirm our room was ready. At that time I was told "yes, your room is good" by the manager. We then drove two hours to the property and tried to check in at 8:30. When we did, we were told our room was not in fact, available, and that we could either take a single king bed room or we could go elsewhere. In his words “The problem was fixed when you called at 6:30, but now it’s not fixed”.

When we asked what we should do he said "I guess you can squeeze in" to the single bed—our reservation for three adults. He offered no other possible solution.

The manager explained that they get a lot of business from the local refinery project, and that if workers on that project want to extend their stay, they accommodate that request regardless of impact on confirmed reservations. Is that actually Wyndham policy? Honestly kind of surprised to hear that.

Given lack of options, we decided to just have one of our group sleep on the floor. No roll-aways were available, but the hotel did offer an extra blanket and pillow. So very generous.

Needless to say, we were upset with having to have one of our group sleep on the floor as we weren't willing to "squeeze in" three adults to a single bed per the manager's suggestion. At the least, if the manager had let us know our reservation wasn't going to be honored when I called at 6:30, we could have brought an inflatable mattress from home to make sleeping on the floor a bit more comfortable. While the manager never offered any discount, one was provided after pushing hard. It was extremely clear that he just wanted us gone. I'm surprised Wyndham is OK having their name on a hotel that treats guests this way.

This was by far the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed at. The sheets had not even been changed, food left in the fridge, the shower was dirty, dog toys and books left in a corner of the room. The lights didn't work and when we asked about getting them fixed the front desk gall came and banged on them a little and said sorry they aren't going to work. And she was the best of the staff members, the gentleman at the front desk was beyond rude and should not be working in the hospitality industry at all. The pool and hot tub were not open, even though we were told they would be. To say the least, it was a terrible experience from start to finish and we could not wait to leave.

When I first arrived to the room (#116) I was greated by a damp smell, pillows covered in grease stains and food stains, an ac that trips the outlet, ripped curtains and a window being held shut with a piece of wood. I went up front to mention the pillows and ac and I was told the pillows are clean, just stained. The next morning I woke with a horrible headache, and it would only go away by stepping outside. And the room just smelled horrible. It took my boyfriend and I a day to find the mold behind the bed. Pictures attached. We sniffed around and narrowed the smell to the left corner of the room behind the bed and found a surprising amount of mold. Told front desk and the lady working was super apologetic. They are extremely understaffed, and the front desk lady said that only one house keeper showed up to work. This was something growing for a while and something that management has obviously ignored. Still sporting a migrane 2 days later. I would suggest staying elsewhere.

Would not recommend this place to anyone. Dirty, rude management, no complimentary breakfast and overcharged by $100 cuz he said we were smoking in the room and we were not. I would pay a few extra bucks to stay somewhere else

The room was fine, nothing special. Check-in time was 2pm and I could not check-in 15 minutes early. Motel is next door to a truck stop but it was not noisy at all. The $100 security deposit required on check-in was a rude surprise.

It's close to the Bellingham Airport but I never was aware of a shuttle. I just stopped overnight while driving from Seattle to Vancouver Island. I'd call them directly at +1 360-384-8881. If you call the Super 8 800 number, you'll get someone who has no idea where Bellingham is.
