We spent New Year’s Eve at this campground. Most of the areas for camping were closed for the season, they only had a few sections open. Easy beach access and great views. We saw whales from our campsite.

We cammed there in early october and saw 30-40 gray whales just past the breakers for many days. Sunsets, Gray Whales, Chanterells in the locla forest, campfires, and cold beers! Does not get to much better.

So glad I made the trek here for two nights of camping! I stayed at site A8 which was close to beach access and the bathroom and easy to enter and exit the campsite. Such a peaceful night listening to the waves roar and crash...More

It's at least a five hour drive with a trailer, and you have to book your reservation nine months in advance to get a coveted oceanfront spot... but it's worth every hassle! Kalaloch has not changed. It is a snapshot in time of an age...More

The spots are all pretty close. I don't remember site #'s, a map should do it tho. Sorry I couldn't be more help. There's really not many bad sites.

Jenae, This is just my opinion, but I think that the sites on the north side of the campground are prime. They have these wicked cool trees around them and are pretty close to the beach in terms of walking distance. Truth... More
