Great for walkers
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
The Deluxe Double Queen room was very large. Everything was clean and comfortable. Wonderful decor. Large fluffy towels in the bathroom. The view was of Front street and the mountains. Easy walking to shops and restaurants, Munchen Haus was very delicious. Our only problem was the stairs. Since there is no elevator and all the rooms are on the second floor, you have to walk up a flight of stairs that were almost too much for my wife’s knees. We called them the “ killer stairs!”

I never leave reviews but this place has been amazing. In a time when customer service has been lacking, I really felt like they went above and beyond to make it a family friendly stay for sure. In the first few minutes we got here, we realized we forgot our sleds and the front desk worker gave us a loaner to use. Public bathrooms were clean so we could change before heading into town (we arrived early before our room was ready). Later we did their “elfie” selfie scavenger hunt and we won a candycane at the end. They had a spot to write letters to Santa. Free hot chocolate. Game room with fooseball, shuffle board and lots of board games. The hot tub (and pool for those brave enough) was a nice treat at the end of a cold day. We didn’t realize our room would have a dvd player so we didn’t bring any, but the front desk had lots of movies to choose from to borrow. Lots of little details that helped make it more than just a place to sleep-but made it part of the whole trip experience.

Thank you for staying with us and we are glad that you enjoyed your stay. Since your stay we have done a complete wall to wall remodel of the hotel and have also renamed it to Hotel Leavenworth. The new Hotel Leavenworth is off to a great start, and in less than a year we have already won 3 Seattle Times' Best in the PNW awards: 1) Best Romantic Getaway; 2) Best Pet-Friendly Getaway; and Best Family-Friendly Getaway. We hope you have a chance to come back to see all of our improvements. Great location in the heart of town. The rooms were comfortable, well appointed, and you could see the attention to detail. Side note: there was really good water pressure in the shower! Parking was easy and convenient. I appreciated that the window opened, it was nice to get the fresh air and hear the sounds of the streets.

We arrived at 5:50pm, dropped off at the front door. But our room was in the basement around back. No one was at the desk to assist us and the directions given were not helpful to jet lagged people. Room 17 is essentially a big dorm room. Not a real fireplace. Not a real jacuzzi. We stupidly paid an exorbitant rate for 3 night at Christmas. I’ve made some travel mistakes, certainly, but this was the most costly and yukky.

Thank you for staying with us, and we are sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations. You stayed in our Double Queen Studio Apartment, which is approximately 700SF has a full kitchen, living room area, and parking directly in front of the room. It is a favorite among some of our repeat guests. As you mentioned, this room is on the back side of our hotel, and is more like an Airbnb than our other hotel rooms. Leavenworth is famous as a beautiful Holiday destination, and thus December is by far the busiest time of the year. All of the hotels sell out months in advance, and as a result the hotel prices are more than double our normal prices. We do not advertise a Jacuzzi, but the guestroom does have a jetted tub. Our front desk is open until 6pm unless all of the guests have checked in, or if we receive information that the last guest(s) will be late check ins. In those cases, we provide extensive directions and instructions, plus the direct line to our General Manager in case of any problems. Although we have used and continually improved these instructions for years, please accept our apologies if this information was not clear enough.

We had a fantastic visit. The hotel was nice at it was right near all the shops and restaurants. The amenities were also very good.
My only complaint was music that played in the restaurant (probably Yodelin) made a low thumping sound well into the late evening.
On our last day I called the front desk about something else and spoke with Scott. I did mention the noise to him. He assured me he would check into it. Based on the tone of our conversation (and the feeling of being rushed off the phone) I was not sure of his commitment to that.
This by no means really affected our stay. We would stay there again!

We spent a Friday night here during a quick trip during spring break. Check-in was simple. Our room was spacious with very high ceilings. The bathroom had plenty of towels and the fancy jetted tub was enjoyed. The beds were very comfortable and there were lots of pillows. The location was convenient. I parked in the designated lot and we just walked everywhere without moving the car until checkout.

Took a quick side trip to Leavenworth after a Seattle work trip. I had the basic queen. Reasonably priced and very clean. Great location to be able to walk anywhere (which was a requirement since I took the train). Only downside is that you do need to be able to lug your stuff up to the second floor. But I managed.

Lovely, relaxing, quiet. comfortable long weekend. Historic hotel with upgrades. The coffee was fabu! The bed was perfect. Giant heart-shaped jacuzzi. Private balcony with a view of creek and mountains. We could have stayed a month except, well WORK!

As required, we made a two day reservation. We left early after one night....I think that says it all....will add, it is a poster child for the need for ADA requirements.....but so it so all of Leavenworth.

The location of the hotel is fantastic. You are right in the center of everything but just on the edge enough that we didn't find the noise a problem at all. The room was clean and large (so large it had a lot of wasted space - ex. no desk or area to work.) The separate room with the soaking tub was nice after walking around all day! You also have some really nice views from certain rooms and we enjoyed the small little standing balcony area to take in the views. The micro and fridge were a nice touch so we could warm up some food and spend more time exploring! Just a few things to note: reception assistance in person is only there 11a-7p (of course there is an emergency #) but if you check-in after 7, make sure you let them know ahead of time to get the specific directions. We had no issues receiving or following those and the parking lot is VERY small and can be hard to find at first as it looks like it's belonging to another building until you pull in and see the signs. The wifi didn't even work for basic browsing so we had to use hot spots for that, as well as work calls (and the PW / network listed in the room aren't accessible - it says 5g but they don't give you the PW for that so we had to use trial and error to get the PW/network correct.) We asked about this at reception and were simply told "use a different network" so if you need any sort of wifi, make sure you have a back-up plan. We also asked about leaving the car after check-out and were quickly told "only until 12pm" so it's hard for us to speak to the actual hospitality as while we enjoyed our stay, we didn't find it particularly welcoming once we arrived and any questions we had seemed to get an abrupt reply. We still enjoyed our stay but just some things to note if they are important to you.
