Detailed Reviews

Almost everything about this Inn is inviting, the rooms are a bit rustic but cozy, clean, spacious and you can't beat the view of the River from the balcony, we saw a family of Marmots sunbathing they ran around the river all day. breakfast was not great, pretty much juice, yogurt, 2nd rate muffins and nutri-grain bars however with Covid precautions that's understandable and it's nice they still are offering those items. The pool was pretty dirty, sandy and looked like it was long past due of a filter change and the hot tub was ok, but needs to be re-painted desperately.
The location of this Inn is great because you are close enough to walk anywhere in about 10- 15 minutes but far enough away that it's quiet the only sound you hear is the rolling of the river, very peaceful, the staff for the most part were friendly except for Eric, we only had to interact with him twice, once upon check in and when we accidentally locked the 1 key he gave us in our room, both interactions with him were uncomfortable as if we were disturbing him and it seemed inconvenient for him to help us with either.
It's affordable and worth staying at for sure.

Am so glad I booked the Alpine Inn rather than one of the pricier, noisier hotels during a crowded summer weekend in Leavenworth. The Inn is on the northeast end of the main road through town, away from the summer tourism chaos of the main retail shopping area. All rooms overlook the river; nighttime was cool enough to leave the balcony door open and hear the relaxing sound of water. Bedding was very nice... soft fluffy pillows and mattress not too firm. Good hot breakfast was included, with eggs, sausage, muffins, yoghurt, juice, milk, coffee, cereal and more. Pleasant and quick check-in and check-out. A Safeway grocery is in walking distance eastbound and downtown Leavenworth is nearby westbound.
The only negative during my one-night visit was the outdoor bright lights from a visitor facility across the river which shine into this hotel's rooms. Overall, I would definitely stay here again because of reasonable room rates and the serenity of the location.

Dear CJSArizona, Thank you for staying with us. We appreciate you taking the time to give us such wonderful feedback regarding your stay. We are happy you enjoyed our wonderful view of the Wenatchee River, our comfy beds, and our complimentary breakfast. Unfortunately, the lights from the hotel across the river is beyond our control. We look forward to seeing you again in the future. Sincerely yours, Dorothy Adsit General Manager

We booked this place because it was one of the last available rooms in Leavenworth. I was very pleasantly surprised. It is very clear that they take pride in their place. The outside doesn’t look like much but our room was full of modern finishes. The “mini” fridge was huge. It easily accommodated our leftovers, toddler snacks, juice, and milk. Everything in the room was high quality. They even had a magnifying mirror for anyone who is a makeup lover.
The sound of the river off our balcony was very relaxing. It snowed a ton while we were there and I was very impressed by how quickly and well they cleared the parking lot.
We couldn’t figure out our tv remote and the maintenance man was there within 5 minutes to assist us. (Nothing was broken. The cable sensor had just fallen behind the tv.)
Overall great experience!

Do not book at this location and try one of the neighboring hotels instead. Awful customer service and have no regard for public safety. We had reservations booked thru booking.com and we got a severe snow storm that shut down the roads in the Portland area. They don't treat the roads here in Portland so when it snows the entire city shuts down. They closed down I-84 due to a 100-car pileup on the highway because of weather conditions. I called the hotel 48 hours in advance to our check-in time and they said due to their cancellation policy of 72 hours they would have to charge my card. I emailed them all the news articles that made national headline that the highways and roads were closed by us and they still would not oblige and refund me for the reservation. They instead wanted me to risk my family's lives and make the drive. I followed up several times via phone and email and nothing. My in laws were staying that same weekend at Icicle Village Resort in 2 rooms and they were very understanding and canceled their reservations no problem. Their cancellation policy should not apply in this case. I own a business and we had to reschedule patients and we of course did not charge a cancellation fee because of weather- it's common sense.

We arrived at the Lodge thinking it was being demolished as the parking was torn up and a backhoe was parked. There isn’t an entry sign so we didn’t know if we were in the right place, so we called the hotel from the parking lot. After being checked in by a cheerful apologetic front desk person, we were directed to where our room was. The lobby was shabby, the stairway was shabby and the room was shabby. The only thing that wasn’t depressing was the sound of the river and the nice sheets. Breakfast is not served until 8:00 so we did not experience that offering as we wanted to get going to explore. 3 pods of coffee were left for our 2 day stay and the room was not attended to after the first night. This stay was expensive and disappointing. I am not sure why this hotel is so highly rated.

Dear Cindy W, Thank you for staying with us. We appreciate you taking the time to give us feedback regarding your stay. We are sorry that we had a water line break in our parking lot. As with home owners it is our responsibilty to fix the issue. There is never a good time to have this kind of work done. On our website and in our confirmation letters we explain that we are not doing stay over service but if you need supplies they can be obtained from the Front Desk. Our breakfast is served from 8am to 10am which is based on feedback from our Guests. We hope you will give is another try and come back and visit us again. Sincerely yours, Dorothy Adsit General Manager

We stayed here for one night in September with two friends. We booked the family suite for over $350/night after a backpacking trip. After seeing the website we were looking forward to a comfortable room, the pool/hot tub, and the included breakfast.
First of all, the building is old. Really old. The porch leading to our room felt like it was going to collapse. The room had furniture and appliances that were decades old, and a fridge that runs all night. Our beds did not have top sheets on them. We found them in the closet and put them on ourselves. I found it pretty gross that the bottom sheet we slept on was touching the blanket that is probably rarely washed.
The pool and hot tub were so dingy that we didn’t even use them.
The breakfast consisted of nutrigrain bars and was a far cry from the full breakfast advertised. When we politely asked for hot water right before 8, we were snapped at to come back after 8.
All in all our visit was terrible. We spent as much time as possible outside of the room. It was a disappointment to feel uncomfortable after sleeping on the ground for four nights and hoping for some restful recovery. 10/10 would not stay here again.

We try to make each Guest stay as wonderful as possible. We use duvet covers on our down comforters. They are washed and sanitized after each stay. We hope you find your ideal place to stay the next time you visit Leavenworth. Sincerely yours, Dorothy Adsit General Manager

Leavenworth can be a fun town, but I like it quiet when I sleep, so decided to try the Alpine Rivers Inn, and it did not disappoint. All rooms have balconies that overlook the Wenatchee River (and trust me, you are right on the river), and although Highway 2 is nearby, you really only hear the river. A short walk or drive will have you in town in a flash.
We had a queen bed in a 2nd floor room. The room was great: mini-frig, microwave, Keurig, updated flooring and furnishings (bed, table, loveseat), bath and hot tub towels, robes, toiletries, and a small table and 2 chairs on the deck. The bed and comforter were comfy.
Breakfast is included and they had several options, including biscuits and gravy, eggs and sausage, yogurt and fruit, and much more. The breakfast room has views of the mountains and the river, and a beautiful carved-wood ceiling, giving it an alpine/homey feel. We appreciated all the amenities and would definitely stay here again.

We tried to cancel as soon as we saw and smelled the room and realized how far from town we were. We were told we couldn’t cancel because we already checked in, (we had just gone to see the room). Not thinking we had a choice, we spent one night, but the smell of stale cigarettes, blocked view of the river, small tv, dated furnishings, filthy corridor and distance to town was more than we wanted to tolerate for our romantic getaway. The next day we said we were leaving and canceling the next two nights. We were again told we couldn’t cancel because we had checked in but we could checkout early.
Their policy states that if you cancel too late you will be charged for one night only.
It also states that if you are a “no show” it will be counted the same as a cancelation (1 night only)
There is nothing that addresses early checkout. So why is it we cancelled AND didn’t show up for our last two nights, they still won’t reimburse us for the remaining third night? Whatever they want to call it ( cancelled, no show or early check out) the room was available to re-rent.
Client service is more than “reciting policy”.

The best part of this Inn are the balconies which overlook the river. It's a great way to spend some time in the morning and afternoon, sipping coffee or a glass of wine. The room has a small refrigerator which was helpful to stock food for breakfast or snacks. We enjoyed cheese from the Cheesemongers shop for late afternoon snacks. The provided breakfast was skippable. The room itself was a bit worn, but comfortable and clean. There was very little room noise from other guests, though the AC was fairly loud. It is a bit of a walk into town, including some of it along the highway.

We recently spent one night at Alpine Rivers Inn. We found the service to be friendly and helpful. It was fun watching deer roam around the grounds. Our room was clean, I loved the balcony over the river, the bed was comfortable, shower great and I liked having black-out curtains. There was a lighted make-up mirror, Keurig coffee maker and microwave. A bagged lunch (Covid) was supplied with juice, muffin, and granola bar. It was nice eating and having coffee on our balcony.
There were a couple small issues, the room runs too warm even in October. I tried using the A/C but it wasn't any better than just using the fan, which didn't cool the room either. We ended up opening the door to the balcony for awhile, and that worked.
Also we asked ahead of time if the rooms have DVD players and were told they're available at the desk. So we got one to use that night. After hooking it up to the TV we saw that there was no way the cord could reach to an outlet, the closest one was too far and the one behind the unit with the TV and microwave was impossible to get to. We got an extension cord from the young man at the desk. Then we found that the remote for the DVD player didn't work. At that point we just gave up. Everyone tried to be helpful, but it would be more helpful if these things are thought out before offering DVD players, check that the remotes work (it may not even have had a battery, we don't know) and at least give out extension cords with the player.
In spite of these little problems, we did enjoy our stay. There's no elevator so we were glad we had very little luggage, and I'm not sure I'd stay in the summer unless the A/C works better than it did for us.

We have them available from the Front Desk.
Not sure what that means. We had a “normal” bathroom in our suite.
Leavenworth offers many restaurants that have outdoor seating and areas where you can see our beautiful surroundings. My suggestion would be once you arrive in Leavenworth, tour the town and pick one of the amazing restaurants we have locally that will fulfill your wishes.
No. But they have several rooms on the ground floor.
