Detailed Reviews
We originally were due to stay three nights, but the venting system or "something" in the room caused allergy/asthma issues for my husband. We asked to be moved, but everything was sold out (same everywhere in town) due to the beginning of Oktoberfest. The floor had not been vacuumed. There was a used toothpick on the carpet along with unidentifiable particles. The furniture was old and clumsy. One redeeming factor was the shower appeared recently remodeled, and the water pressure/temperature were excellent. The breakfast was mediocre at best, and the area for eating just felt like it needed a deep-clean. The bakery right next door was packed. We didn't use the pool. It was clean and had towels. The setting is okay with bottom floors having direct access to grassy areas with some chairs. The prices in Leavenworth are outrageous, and this hotel was no exception. I lived in Bavaria, so I'm probably too picky. You have to pay for any parking, and the whole village is doable in a day. We've been there in the past and stayed at a place with a miniature golf course. Wish I'd done that instead...hindsight. Overall, disappointing, especially since I was there to celebrate a milestone birthday. We had to leave a day early and missed the parade/birthday due to the allergy issue....Probably would not return again, and if ever, I'd definitely select another hotel.

We were very happy with our stay at Der Ritterhoff. The room was very clean and the property appears well kept. It snowed like the dickens and they were very good at keeping walkways cleaned. The breakfast was perfect for our needs. Eggs, sausages, toast, muffins, pancake batter for waffles, cereal, juice and milk and fresh apples.
The staff were friendly and very accommodating for our needs. We read some complaints of other travellers saying it was dated, but it is very period for the Bavarian vibe of the whole town. I quite liked the nostalgia. One of the shop keepers told us that this property is one of the oldest ones in town. That's pretty cool! We definitely would stay here again if we get a chance to go back.

We have stayed at the Ritterhof at the end of January for numerous years now. What do we like? The rooms are simple, but cosy and very clean. They have baths, not just showers, and we love a bath in the winter when we come in from the cold.
We can walk into town for dinner and drinks and there are good restaurants nearby too.
Breakfast is a simple self-serve motel breakfast: fine for us, but not fancy. If it's not for you, there's an excellent coffee shop next door. Staff are friendly and helpful, the facilities are very well maintained, especially paths in the winter. The prices are excellent. It's not a luxury resort, but it is as nice a motel as you could ask for.

Our family has been meeting for many years at Der Ritterhof the day before Oktoberfest begins. It is clean , comfortable, well located away from the crowds and noise but a block from the heart of Leavenworth, and is priced well. It is more like a motel in that all rooms have an outside entrance. The grounds are well maintained and there is a large built-in BBQ to gather around, as well as one double room with a large kitchen for our family to gather. We will return next year!

The hotel was in a perfect location especially for those who are not traveling by car. My husband and I took a Greyhound from Seattle to Leavenworth and back and the bus station was within walking distance to the hotel. Downtown Leavenworth was also just a few minutes away by foot. The hotel was clean, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the room was spacious. There was no hand soap available on the sink and the hand sanitizer container was empty, but we had our own of both so we made due. I'm sure if we mentioned it to the staff they would've provided it because they were incredibly accomodating. We especially appreciated being able to store our bags for an hour after we checked out while we waited for our bus to arrive.
We didn't take advantage of the breakfast included because we wanted to eat around town instead. Love that one of the most sought-after eateries was right next door (Argonaut Coffee & Biscuits) so we could grab a biscuit before they ran out, which happens often. We highly recommend the hotel!

We stayed here just one night on our way to Seattle and it was much to much to pay for just 1 night. When we registered, I was told they could only give me one key as they did not have enough of a supply to give more that 1 key. We were assigned a 2nd floor room and it was a struggle to carry our luggage up to the room. No rooms on the ground level to switch to. Their breakfast is nothing special and they have a very small indoor area to sit at. Near our building an overflowing dumpster had been attacked by birds, and no workers had come to clean up the mess. On the positive side, our room was clean and spacious and had a very good shower. The hotel is just a short walk to the downtown area.

Standard hotel with your standard continental breakfast with waffle irons, sausage and yogurt type things. We happened to be staying during the -4 to 0 degree weather just before Christmas so the power went out 4 separate times in 2 days. Nothing the hotel could do of course and I thought they did a good job communicating. We brought out dog and had a ground level, pet friendly room. It was so convenient to leash him up and take him out the sliding door to potty. There was a poop bag/trash can station nearby and plenty of shoveled snow trenches to get around. Staff was all very friendly, I would stay again.

It actually turned out to be less than great. When we checked in we were advised that the pool was not in operation and closed. The pool was one of the deciding factors in staying at this location and because it was the hottest couple of days of the season with record temperatures we were really looking forward to spending some time in the pool in the evening. We decided that if that is the worst then it was really no big deal however it was not. The bed was super comfortable the pillows were kind of hard but we slept well. In the morning one of us got a five minute shower and when I went to get into the shower there was zero and I mean zero hot water I ended up washing my hair over the tub in cold water and then sponge bathing in for the rest. Ice cold water (which it was) on my back and neck is a migraine trigger for me. The bathtub and shower were difficult to operate and very much in need of updating. We went to The lobby to get ice for our cooler bag and were told the ice machine was broken and we couldn’t get ice; again in the hottest weather. While there was much about the hotel that was comfortable it was certainly not a $195.00 a night room. Completed disappointed as we had high hopes for our knight.

This is a great place to stay when visiting Leavenworth. The staff is friendly, the rooms are comfy, and the bedding allows you a good night's sleep. The only negative is there rather meager breakfast items. The two hot dishes were the same the entire five days I was there, and the egg patties and link sausages were unappetizing. Even though breakfast was included for free, I ate the morning meal elsewhere my last three days there. There are several places right nearby and across the street that serve excellent food. The hotel is perfectly situated. It is walking distance to the Adventure Park as well as the center of all activity in this beautifully appointed Bavarian-looking town. In addition, a free city bus runs right by the hotel if you want to go further or even out of town. Highly recommended.

I looked at the site and found no check in out time listed unless it comes after you make the reservation. They are so accommodating that I bet if you call ahead and if the room is clean
The pet friendly rooms are on the first floor. Each room has a glass sliding door that opens to a lawn outside your room. We don't have a dog, but it seems like a nice set up for someone traveling with a dog - a very large grass area for them to run around. It's no trouble leaving your dog in the room while you go out on the town, but if they are a barker they may call you to come back and take care of your dog.
Hello,
We do have a limited number of pet friendly rooms. The cost is $20 per pet, per night.
Thank you
