What a surprise find! A group of us were looking for a weekend ski trip in January (a last guys weekend before one of us was lost to marriage), and started with looking at Crystal Mountain, Whistler, or Leavenworth. We ended up choosing Leavenworth because we could ski Stevens Pass on the way into town, Mission Ridge the next day, and Stevens Pass again on the way home to Seattle.
Next was choosing a place to stay. We looked at hotels, homes, and condo's in Leavenworth and decided to try the Aspen Suites. They looked new and had a great ski package that included tickets to either mountain. Their reservations line was also very helpful with giving us estimated times to the mountains and recomendations on where to eat, etc.
We checked in at the hotel desk and drove back our condo, located behind the Icicle Inn. What a surprise when we got into our rooms! The condo's are really very large, with separate outside doors into each section, which can be closed off inside. The living room / dining room is the first thing we saw, with great rustic pine furniture (one of us is a craftsman) and a great view out the huge windows! Around the corner was the best stocked kitchen we've ever seen, and we stay at condo's in Whistler allot, with everything needed to cook and serve dinner for the five of us. They even had a full size coffee pot and Seattles Best coffee ready for us to use!
The bedrooms had great mattresses and the rooms are very quiet so our sleep was great. There is a room with a queen size bed, a room with a king bed (it has a bath with a shower and jacuzzi tub) and we also used the sofa sleeper in the living room. It was even comfortable!
There was a large tv in each room, and a second bathroom off the main condo area. Then nicest thing is that it all feels brand new!
Overall the stay was incredible, we hit incredible snow at the mountains (albeit a bit windy!) and had a great stay in Leavenworth!

The 2 bedroom suites are really nice with a full kitchen and 2 seperate bed/bathrooms plus a common area. The master has a jacuzzi tub and a private TV etc. These rooms are perfect for couples who know each-other well and can hang out but still have the privacy when they need it. Well furnished with all the usual amenities.

We checked in at your hotel on August 2, 2013 for one night. We left the hotel and my daughter forgot her mini iPad in the room. By the time we got back to the house, we found out we lost it somewhere. We pretty much gave up the hope of recovering the mini iPad. Yet, I called to check back with the hotel, just in case. To my surprise, Jeremy (the hotel staff) told me that the iPad is at the hotel and he would send it back to us.
Without the hotel staff'shonesty, we would not able to get back the mini iPad. Not only that the staff had provided us best services, the complimentary breakfast is wonderful. The hotel is clean and new. The room is spacious.

We recently stayed at this condo development which is adjacent to the Icicle Village Resort in Leavenworth. They share facilities. The Condo units are very dated, old brown furniture throughout and very limited kitchen utensils. There is no daily cleaning service. The heating unit in our room did not work properly. All in all I would not recommend this vacation spot.

Hi Colin - as I replied to your Google for Business review, we sincerely apologize for your experience with us. We failed to impress you and for that we apologize. You booked through a third party at an incredibly low rate and got one of our newest vacation rental units, this unit was built and furnished within the last 8 years so your review has us really scratching our heads. Cleaning is every 3rd day, which you initialed at check-in but I understand your frustration with not being in the main building closer to the pool & hot tub and for that we apologize that both pools are not available year round.

We took the grandchildren for a 2 day snowshoe and sledding holiday and lucked out by finding the Aspen Suites. We spent quite a bit of time searching for a hotel that could accommodate 3 adults and 2 small children. The 2 bedroom units at Aspen Suites worked to the tee. We were there on Sunday and Monday nights so it was very quiet in our Section "C" unit. The condo was very clean, spacious with a well appointed kitchen. The beds and pillows were comfy. Everything was there for our use including a good supply of DVD in the unit or available at the front desk. The buffet breakfast which included hot and cold items was included which certainly helped our budget. We did avail use of the pool and hot tub. The covered pool was fine, although a bit on the tepid side The only improvement area was wi-fi. We could access service only by going outside on the patio. If you are looking for excellent accommodation in Leavenworth and with a large family this would be ideal.

We have visited this property (managed by the Best Western Icicle Inn) three times now. Our past visits were short 2 and 3 day visits. Due to our great experiences in the past we decided this year to stay for 8 days in one of the 2 bedroom Aspen Suites (we also paid for an additional room in the hotel for my Wife's parents for 2 days).
The property is great for families. There is a lot to do from pools, video games, mini-golf, crafts for the kids, etc. With three young children it is nice to have a lot to do on one property. The property is just a short drive or walk into downtown which makes it a great location. The property is clean and well maintained. The included buffet breakfast is fantastic.
The service levels from the staff during this visit were inconsistent with most of our experiences being negative. There were great exceptions with fantastic service from a lady named Amy that worked the morning breakfast, the maintenance worker that fixed our room door, and a lady who I believe was the housekeeping manager the day that we checked out. They were very helpful and very customer service oriented.
When it came to the front desk staff, the staff at the Icicle Junction entertainment area, and the dinner time restaurant staff, the service ranged from very poor to outright rude. This started at check in with an unhelpful front desk agent, continued to the Icicle Junction where the employees seem very unmotivated and barely acknowledged our existence over 8 days (I often felt like I was bothering them), to the take out dinner order from the restaurant where THEY forgot to pack an important item and then made us walk back across the property to pick it up, all the way to the check out process.
All in all, as much as we love the property itself, and as much as we have enjoyed and did enjoy many parts of the resort, the family consensus unfortunately is that the poor service took away from our enjoyment and we will spend spend $3,400.00 someplace else next summer.

Wow, what a disappointment! First trip to Leavenworth and booked this hotel. Rooms are average at best (no German/Bavarian decor at all), bathroom had hairs in shower upon arrival that weren't cleaned even after the second day, our Goomsba package was lacklusteredly placed on the counter when we opened the door...no explanation of what it was or how to use it, no welcome to Leavenworth etc. The breakfast was sub standard...generic or package cereal & oatmeal, tasteless eggs from a carton, rubbery has browns) blah weiners/sausages, NO bacon, store bought mini muffins and mini cinnamon rolls which were stale. The waffles were good but they only gave you CORN syrup...no other options. The coffee was really really strong and tasted like grinds. The coffee mate sweetener was as thick as molasses. The juice was best thing on the buffet! Overall it was a 4 on a scale of 1 - 10. Basically you had to pay for everything at the "resort", nothing was included except the usual outdoor pool(which was merky & dirty) hot tub (which was overloaded with stinging chlorine) and the breakfast buffet. For over $200 a night it was WAY overpriced. If you have a family then maybe this is good for you but for a couple...no way. It was noisy with kids, smells in the hallway from the restaurant in the morning...when all is said and done, it wasn't worth the money.

We have stayed several times at the Aspen Suites in Leavenworth and always had an excellent time. The Condo's are comfortable and decorated beautifully. They are fully equipped with everything you may need. There is a pool and hot tub just for the Condo's. There is so much to do that you never need to leave the property. It is a little on the spendy side, but a bit cheaper if you come mid week. We will be back again.

Suites are excellent- big, clean, very well appointed. the resort has everything you want for your kids- pool, BBQ area, arcade and game room, cinema, restaurant (very good), small basketball court, mini golf and more. My family enjoyed our stay very much.

It has been 5 years since my last Leavenworth visit. This resort is no longer run by Best Western but it is still exceptional and has grown in size in 5 years. The condos are such a hit that they have added 8 3 bedroom units since I have been here. The condos are quite large and have everything you would need in the kitchen and washer and dryers in the units are really handy. Perfect for families or couples and you are away from the hustle and bustle of the very busy Hotel!! If you prefer a bit of privacy and like your own entrance and want a more homey feel definitely rent a condo. The prices are quite reasonable and there is a AAA discount of 10% which is nice. You get full Hotel amenities also:)

So sorry for the delay in our response! We are about 5 blocks from the center of town but there is a lot going on all over town!
yes we keep the pool at around 80 degrees and a brand new bubble is on order not sure when it will be here.

Town and our resort is all decked out in holiday decor and hopefully it will be all white in beautiful snow for all of us. There are no special events planned in town that I am aware of.
