I booked a room at the same hotel as my sister in law for a one-night family trip to Leavenworth. Rooms were scarce and I did not have very high expectations. We were thankful to have a parking space included and the location right next to the pedestrianized section of town. But this would be my first choice of hotel when I return. I prefer small hotels anyway, but this one was charming. The staff are all friendly and helpful. My brother’s room was in the chapel and was stunning. Mine was far more modest but still quite comfortable. The heated floor tiles in the bathroom were a very nice touch! L’Occitane toiletries, and a good night’s sleep on the comfy bed. Breakfast was a highlight. Be aware this is a European style breakfast so no pancakes, waffles, greasy hash browns or the like. Instead on offer was a selection of lovely European style breads, top-notch cured meats, cheeses, coffee cakes, fruit, yogurt, and boiled eggs cooked to order. Healthy and delicious.

There aren't enough good things to say about Hotel Pension Anna.
Do you want friendly staff who engages with their customers? Check. Do you want to be able to walk into town, literally just minutes away from local restaurants/bars? Check. Do you want an authentic Bavarian themed hotel? If so, you've found the perfect hotel to stay at.
I stayed in the Loisachtal Room. It's spacious and accommodates two with ease. The ceilings are very tall making the room feel even bigger than it truly is. I would let travelers know that this room is nearest to the streets, but the noise was not bothersome for me or my partner (though I could see people benefiting from wearing ear plugs at night).
It was my second time staying at this hotel and I already am looking forward to staying many more times!!

I enjoyed the entire experience. Erika was amazing and her staffed followed suite. This was our first experience in a pension hotel and it paid off. From the day we traveled, Erika was in touch. When we arrived she was there to show us to our room, gave a little history and advice on the town activities. The food is fantastic and on point for our liking. They make eggs cooked to perfection and deliver in the cutest hen egg covering (see photo). It was healthy and we left full each morning. The location is one block from all the activities in town so no driving is required. A few blocks the other way takes you to the park and hiking trails. At the end of the day that wonderful bed with the Daunendecke was all I could think about. In the morning the warm floor in the bathroom was so fantastic. Erika has thought of it all. WE CANT WAIT TO GO BACK!

We cannot love this little gem of a place more. Pension Anna is a place that makes you feel you are visiting that Bavarian town with that German feel. The bed and duvets are like pillows of goodness that wrap around you like a hug. The breakfast is bar none the best! We absolutley loved Emma and Ericka! They were so accomodating and the best gift was to be able to put our parents in the gorgeous Parish room. This is my third time being here and will always be the place we choose to stay when in Leavenworth!

We are actually now locals but like to head into town for special occasions. This was our first time staying here and WOW was it perfect! Very authentic Bavarian style of everything, door handles, heated bathroom floors, softest comforters, beds very comfortable. Even down to the color of the carpets, bench nook pads and little touches here and there. Breakfast was exceptional with all the different meats, cheeses, breads, yogurts, boiled egg, coffee and juices etc. It reminded me of when I was a foreign exchange student to Austria and the 10 times I have vacationed in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Anna, Donna and Emmie were wonderful hosts, guides, breakfast presenters etc. Loved it.. will definitely book our wonderful Stubaital room again and again.

I had always wanted to stay here and so happy we did. It made me cry walking into it. The whole town is nestled within the mountain ranges and everything in the town is styled in the German Bavarian Style architecture. They had EVERYTHING typical German style, from the furnishings, carpets, beds, bedding, and even the toilets. I was so happy to see the dining room we'd be eating in in the morning, with a full sit down typical German served breakfast buffet. Staff was so friendly and there was ample parking on site (free). Make sure you check their lobby hours or make arrangements if you arrive late. I loved the typical common areas on each floor for each of the rooms to share and the very large common balconies on each floor to use (several of them). The views are spectacular right outside a church. At night you hear the town bells. it's also in the perfect location to walk to the shops and restaurants. You are in the heart of everything. You can't go wrong with any room you choose, but if you can afford the Honeymoon Suite, do it! Even if it's not your honeymoon. This was a bucket list stay and I've cried several times reminding me of times at home (as I am from Germany) and it brought me many happy memories.

We booked a room for three adults at Hotel Pension Anna almost two months in advance. After a long day waking up before sunrise and hiking 10 miles to Colchuck Lake, all we wanted was a clean shower and comfy bed to sleep in. When we finally checked in, we were shocked to discover that there was one bed with two sets of sheets and only two towels. There was no one working the desk (at 8pm on a Saturday!) and when we called the "emergency line" we did not receive an answer. When the manager finally did call us back, she told us they simply forgot it was three adults and we should go stay somewhere else. This was in Leavenworth during Oktoberfest, so hotels had been booked out for months in advance. There was literally no where else to go. When I expressed my frustration over the fact that we clearly booked a room for three adults and they could not accommodate that, the manager tried to blame this on us. She later showed up to our room, visibly annoyed, and dropped off extra towels and linens and a small foam mat to place on the floor for the third person, but made sure to express how inconvenient it was for her to be coming out of her way for this. She had a completely unwarranted emotional reaction to our inconvenience and tried to make it all seem like our fault. I also asked for a refund and never heard back. The hotel is fine and the location is good, but it seems based off other reviews they have a lot of work to do with their customer service and the management absolutely has an "attitude" when it comes to any criticism you may have during your visit. We are sorry you did not have a good experience with us. We work hard for our 5 circles TripAdvisor rating but we can always do better. Sometimes despite our efforts, it is not possible to find a remedy when trying to satisfy guests' expectations. You reserved 1 King-Bed Room and requested 3rd guest accommodation. Our new Front Desk team member forgot to set it up when she processed your late check-in. For these cases, we provide 4” thick pads for guests that want to accommodate a third adult or kid in our King rooms. We apologized for not providing it upon check-in and were ready to bring in the pad, but you wanted us to move you to a room with 2 beds that you thought you booked. We don’t have such rooms in our entire hotel (except for one suite-level room that was occupied). Since we could not accommodate your expectation, we offered to give you a full refund if you wanted to go elsewhere as you were very upset. You chose to stay we provided you the 4” mattress pad that we offer for all extra room guests within about 15 minutes of us ending our phone conversation. Again, we apologize we did not have the extra person set up upon your check-in. It was our miss that we tried to correct, but we were unable to turn the 1 King room you booked into a 2-Bed Room that you expected.

Omg I scored one of the rooms with the traditional old furniture and it was one of the best hotel experiences of my life. I have been dying to stay here for years. I love Leavenworth so much but have always either camped or stayed at Sleeping Lady. But finally I made it here and it exceeded all expectations. The breakfast is also just like you get in Germany. So much good, fresh food, and when I told them the night before I didn't eat gluten, they made sure there was gluten free bread the next morning. Staff are so lovely and the rooms are so comfortable. What a heavenly place to stay.

The cathedral was incredibly unique and inviting, elegant and welcoming. I really enjoyed the opulent decor, the roomy two floor set up, and especially the fireplace and hot tub in the main sitting room. We were able to have my mom, brother and his wife join us in the evenings, and celebrated Moms birthday there. She said it was the highlight of our trip there. Everyone at the Pension went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. A special shout out to Donna who took care of us like family. The breakfasts were fabulous, Austrian style, meats, cheeses, brioche, bread fresh from the bakery, soft boiled eggs served with little crocheted hens, made by Donna. I will come back again and again……loved it!

Hotel Pension Anna was a wonderful stay in Leavenworth. Staff are all friendly and warm, making the stay feel like we'd arrived in Bavaria. Our room/suite was spotless, with a comfortable bed and nice, antique furnishings. Breakfast is traditional w/delicious coffee cake, pastries, boiled eggs to order, and savory items. Parking on-site was great as the hotel is right in the middle of Leavenworth, so we were able to walk from the hotel to most anything in the town. We'll be back.

This hotel sucks, I got COVID during Christmas, canceled three days before my trip, and they refused to give me a refund.
I would not stay here for that reason alone.
There are more places to choose from in the Leavenworth area.
