I have to say this hotel met and exceeded every expectation we had. We stayed for 3 nights and everything was amazing! The hotel Staff were so friendly and accommodating..we could not have asked for anything more. The rooms were beautiful and spacious..the food in restaurant was delicious and the real MVP was Johnny Pelzer!!! If you are ever there please ask for Johnny..he is the best!

In the heart of Dupont Circle sits a reimagined apartment building that now serves as an unassuming art deco hotel, Lyle. Casual elegance best describes the interior, which is beautifully appointed with abstract artwork, tapestries, burl wood furnishings, rattan seating, berber carpets, white or natural-toned couches and bedspreads, and delicious smelling bath products. Did we mention the oh so comfy bed and pillows? Created with the intention of serving visitors with families and pets, Lyle provides rooms with kitchenettes and interconnecting rooms. The spacious drawing room on the lower ground is the perfect setting for relaxing and reminiscing on with family or friends.

Booked a long weekend getaway with my fiance. The Good: Location - Dupont Circle is, in my opinion, the best place to stay in D.C. Easy walk to many restaurants as well as metro station. Lobby - the scent of Lavender when you walk into the lobby is amazing. Front desk employees were very friendly and helpful. The room - Bright and white, great black out curtains. The Bad: Lack of storage space - No bureau to store clothes that you're not hanging in the closet. There was one drawer over the fridge which got very warm due to the fridge running underneath it. Similarly, no space in the bathroom to store your toiletries. Decor - Rather strange, erotic art on the wall. The view - we were excited to be on the 8th floor, only to find out that the only view we had was the side of another building. The Ugly: Room service - We ordered breakfast one morning consisting of 2 scrambled eggs, home fries, 2 pieces of bacon, 2 sausage, oatmeal, 4 oz. orange juice, and 16 oz latte. Cost --- $65?!?!?!?!?!? AND, it came in a paper bag that looked like it was coming from McDonald's with paper and plastic boxes/cups/utensils. I would really expect a hotel like the Lyle to serve room service on a tray with real plates, silverware, and glasses. This is a real deal breaker for me when considering coming back to the Lyle in the future. I will probably try something different next time.

I loved my stay at The Lyle Hotel. Myself and friend went down to DC to shoot content for our brands. This hotel was so aesthetically pleasing that we were able to shoot 90% of our content there. I love the modern take. The rooms were white with natural accents- which created a retreat feel that's perfect for relation. The vanity in our bathroom where I could comfortable do my skin routine and apply makeup was EPIC. The service was phenomenal. Johnny, a service member from the front desk made sure our needs were met. He gave us a history about the hotel and knew a lot about the general location. Lets just say I've already booked my next stay for later this spring. From the staff, the cleanliness of the facility, the comfortability of the beds, and the quietness of the hotel...everything was nothing short of amazing.

We booked a room and price fix wine dinner for Valentine’s Day and we were disappointed in almost every way. When we arrived the heat in our room didn’t work (it’s the middle of February) so we politely asked for a room change or an electric heater and got blown off because she was overwhelmed getting ready for this wine dinner they shouldn’t have thrown. The dinner was $100 per person and was sloppily put together and served by children because they didn’t have the staff to pull it together. There was an empty table but they sat us with another couple so we ended up having dinner with them which was not romantic at all. The food was good but should have been $65 a head. We still didn’t have a heater or a room change so we were told to find one in the janitorial closet upstairs. Our room ended up being over the bar area where the staff celebrated until 2:30am when my fiancé finally went downstairs to tell them they were keeping us up. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows are the worst. “Continental breakfast” was granola muffins and honey and Kuerig coffee that doesn’t work properly no cream no butter. They have a lot of work to do to get this place to be desirable. We would never stay here again.
