Staying in fabulous cabin and loving the beautiful property, especially by the river. Inn is has a special rustic charm overlooking lake and mountainside. Love two story stone fireplace in main dining room and new bar). Enjoyed a fun wine tasting & dinner at the Inn last night. Thank you Chef Wayne for taking such good care of me with... More

The Freestone Inn is a great spot to have a mini vacation. The Inn has a special character, personable staff and wonderful food. The drive over the north cascade highway is a real treat and the Freestone Inn completes the drive with a perfect destination. Don't miss the Mazama store!

Nestled at the foot of Sandy Butte, rimmed by a singing Early Winters Creek, and surrounded by the majestic North Cascades all the Freestone Inn really has to do is show up to be a winner. I mean it! The natural setting is so spectacular it's easy to miss the fact that there is a hard working staff making sure... More

This is a beautiful hotel to stay at during tour of the Cascades loop traveling thru the Cascades National Park. The inn is located on spacious grounds near a small lake. The inn is a mountain resort with a luxurious rustic feel. The staff is friendly and helpful. Nice walking or hiking right from the inn. Rooms have porch with... More

Just like the scenery in this area, our room made us say WOW!! We had a view of the small lake and the geese and the mountain. The gas fireplace came on with just a flick of the switch and seemed to take the chill off the room quickly. Sheets were crisp and the towels so thick, fluffy and white.... More

Relaxing, quiet room with a beautiful, serene view of a small lake in a stunning setting. It couldn't have been more satisfying. The affiliated bar and restaurant has outstanding food, and for those who want to do their own cooking, there are cabins available with kitchens that offer a bit more privacy than the main lodge. We've stayed in both, and... More

Freestone Inn is a special place. It is hidden in the woods and sits on a tranquil pond. It's a small lodge with big ambience. Patty checked us in and was so warm and welcoming. The other staff members were all smiles and so willing to help us get situated and comfortable. The teeny-tiny bar was open, so we ordered... More

Staff were very friendly and helpful, beautiful situation on private lake, bike rentals, pool, food outlets, wildlife in grounds, very quiet but not in a boring way. The lady behind the bar who helped us when we arrived (we didn`t have a booking) was excellent.

Found Freestone via an online search for overnight lodging while visiting the North Cascades to experience the Skagit/Seattle City Light Hydroelectric Project for the Diablo Lake tour. The resort was clean with beautiful grounds, a great little pool with concessions, and a fantastic restaurant. Our only disappointment was confusion with our room. We stayed as a family of 4 -... Thank you for the review. I am sorry that you did not feel that we were responsive to your issue. Unfortunately, we were sold out that weekend, with no where to move you. We did do everything we could to find a solution, but there is little we can do when we are sold out. When you made your reservation... More
