The Freestone is under new management, and it couldn't be in better hands. Chris and Jojo are wonderful additions to a Mazama gem that has not flourished under previous stewards. We had our wedding festivities there in June (sorry for the delay in posting!) and they went all out to make it a perfect occasion. They met with us on...

My husband and I found out about the Freestone Inn from friends. We had experienced a very hard year and decided that we needed to get away for a few days. We listened to our friends recommendation and decided to go for a 3 day weekend. What an INCREDIBLE find this place is. From the moment we walked in, we...

From start to finish my experience with Freestone was superb. I called Luigi from the beach in Maui requesting 3 upper floor lodge rooms for our family to celebrate our Mother's 94th birthday. We have been to Freestone in the past and loved our stay each time, mostly in the cabins. We found the Lodge delightful! Beautifully appointed accommodations with...

Took advantage of an off-season one night stay in a luxury king suite in the lodge. Please note this was a weekday stay and the inn was very quiet. Overall, it was a lovely stay and I would definitely return if in the area again. Check-in time was noted to be 3:00 p.m. I arrived at 3:40 p.m. and the...

Thank you for the review. I appreciate your honesty, and apologize for anything that wasn't up to our standard as far as service is concerned. Although we are not a 24 hour front desk, there is no excuse for closing that early, and I have addressed it with our staff. We will be re-launching the restaurant in a few weeks,...

An inn worth the trip to Mazama. .Hidden back in the pines, a log lodge with giant stone fireplace, it offers cabins as well as lodge rooms. Our room with its gas fireplace overlooked the private lake. Big comfortable bed with a shower and a deep soaking tub can keep you in your room. Excellent food is offered in the...

Lodge rooms range from 1 bedroom with bath up to luxurious suites with full kitchen, bath & laundry. All are excellent lodge style rooms. Cabins have been substantially upgraded from the primitive huts of the Jack Wilson era. All have kitchens and are quite nice. My wife has never rejected a room at the Freestone, which is remarkable considering how...

Thank you for the review! We will be re-launching the restaurant soon, and serving a full, amazing breakfast that Chef Paulson will be spearheading. So hopefully on your next visit we will be up and running!

Stayed in cabin 2, was right along the river and private. Dinner was amazing and all the staff were super friendly and accommodating. Beautiful surroundings, nice trail around the lake. Can't wait to go back when it snows or even with the kids when the pool is open this Summer!

We have stayed at this inn many times since it opened and it is always an excellent place. The rooms are special and are good sized. The bathroom with separate tub and shower are delightful. The place the hotel is located is remote and private, though don't expect any loud night life! This is a place to relax and enjoy...

My husband and I celebrated our fifth Wedding Anniversary at the Freestone Inn. We had never visited there until this trip and found it a truly lovely and perfect site to reflect on the past five years together. Elegantly rustic w/all modern amenities, it was cozy, quiet, scenic and serene. Plenty to do in terms of outdoor activities--biking, hiking, horse-back...
