It's a lovely little hotel. The rooms are clean; have comfortable beds; a balcony or patio that overlooks Ship Bay, which is a beautiful scene to watch and drink your morning cup of coffee. They offer a free continental breakfast to their guests in the restaurant dining room. We stay because we love the restaurant and find the rooms comfortable.

This is a wonderful, small complex of three buildings with 11 rooms. All rooms have decks with water views and access to the spreading lawns that lead to the water's edge. Our room was very comfortable. Our only gripe was inadequate light for reading in bed - or elsewhere in the room for that matter. A continental cold breakfast is...

We've eaten in their wonderful restaurant on a previous trip and thought we'd enjoy staying at the inn this time around. Our room is clean, comfortable, and looks out over the water....but....and this is a big but....it is 10:30 at night and we can hear absolutely every creaky footstep, muffled voices, and loud thunks from the family above us. This...

Dining here is such a treat. Food delicately prepared with fresh ingredients and with lots of flair. I had the king salmon special with three different sauces, resulting in a different flavor for each bite. My wife had scallops with sprouted lentils over risotto, which she says was 'outrageously good.' Homemade cherry clafouti (sp?) dessert was delectable. The ambience was...

Driving up to the Inn at Ship Bay, I loved the farm-and-garden quality of the setting but hoped I hadn't made a mistake about not being on the water. When we entered our rooms, I knew I hadn't. The Inn is right on the water, and we spent considerable time sitting outside watching the bald eagles in their nearby aerie....

We just returned from Orcas Island - and hands down the best meal we had was at the Inn at Ship Bay. The food was fresh, flavorful and delicious. The surroundings were incredible. We wished we had stay there too.

We stayed here in February. We were the only guests during this quiet part of the season. The restaurant was not yet open (mid March?), but the drive into town (East Sound) where there are other restaurants is short. The grounds have a nice view across the water, so on a good clear day the sunset can be nice. The...

This is a lovely location to relax and enjoy peace and quiet. It is off the beaten trail and not as touristy as say Rosario. The food is exceptional and the staff is very polite. If you are looking for some R&R this is your place!

We just spent a night at the Inn at Ship Bay on Orcas Island. We would definitely stay here again! Our room was on the ground floor (#105), with a very comfortable King Bed. We had a small deck/porch right off the room and nice views of the water (the Inn sits on a bluff about 100 yards from the...

We may not get out to enjoy a fine dining experience as often as we might like, but when we do we'd like it to be something special. Geddes and his talented team in the kitchen at Inn at Ship Bay always give you their 100% best effort and they consistently deliver an extraordinary fine dining experience highlighting the local...
