Miss Lydia's room was charming but small. It was stuffy but the window did open and there are fans in the room. The hotel was full but we never were bothered by noise. The location is great but be fore warned the stairs are very steep and no elevator.

After almost giving up on finding an old Victorian style hotel to stay in for one night before heading home, my wife found the Palace Hotel. When she started reading the reviews on TA which gave its history as a formal brothel, it got my attention. (I have always wanted to spend the night in a brothel....) Check in at...

Since my family went out of state, we decided to come back and visit Port Townsend. Staying at the Palace hotel made me feel i'm home again. Our stay was very relaxing especially after a day's tour in the city. Our bed was the coziest bed ever, very comfy and cozy! The hotel staff were very friendly and accomodating too!...

Manager Gary is rude obnoxious and almost threw me out for complaining about the rough nasty towels they give you. Never go there he is rude arrogant and cares nothing about the customers. I will never go back until he is replaced. He made me cry and laughed at me I spent 180 for my birthday and will never ever...

We could have easily spent our entire two-week vacation in this inn and in this town. I loved the history of the building and the room was spacious and very comfortable. One warning; there is no elevator so you have 20-30 steps to negotiate. It's situated right in the center of town. Once we parked the car, there was no...

Our first visit to the Palace. From the street, I had long admired the lobby with its 19th c. décor including an electric train during Christmas season. The desk clerk/porter had a most welcoming manner and showed obvious pride in the furnishings and history. He pointed out the details of our room which was spacious and clean. The bathroom had...

Port Townsend is a wonderful little town and the Palace Hotel is an historic gem. I love the structure of the building and the interior design. So much history there! The staff could not be more accomodating. Robert was very nice and helpful everytime I had a question. My room was on the top floor - the Miss Pearl. It...

I booked a room during the height of the season - late July, The only room available was expensive; the costliest two nights of my entire trip. There was a bit of a view of the water, and the location was very convenient, but overlooking the main street was a little noisy. The architecture was great, but there was no...

This hotel is a trip to the past. It is in an old hotel built in the 1880s, which for a time in the 1920s was a bordello. The hotel was restored with the theme of the bordello with plush velvet chaises in the upstairs lobby. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant. The only thing that one needs to...

Once a working brothel, this captivating property has been painstakingly updated to keep the period decor while providing the modern conveniences. The employees we dealt with on the phone and at the front desk were extremely courteous and very much devoted to their customers. Will DEFINITELY stay here again. Well done, Palace Hotel!
