Nestled beside a tranquil lake, Hyatt Regency Lake Washington at Seattle's Southport garners praise for its pristine and modern atmosphere, with many rooms offering enviable lake views that are a highlight for guests. The hotel's amenities, including walking paths and dining options, receive commendations, though some visitors miss a lounge and find room features lacking. While the service is largely recognized as friendly and professional, occasional lapses in restaurant efficiency and room service have been noted. Despite the peaceful locale, a few guests find the distance from downtown Seattle and high costs to detract from the overall value.

Our room at The Hyatt Regency Lake Washington was clean, well-appointed (but for a few conveniences), had a very comfortable bed/pillows and spacious stone-tiled shower with multiple showerhead options. We had a lakeview room, which was lucky as the other side of the building faces directly into the offices across the drive. The room lacked a microwave and was fairly small in size compared to other similarly priced hotels. There was a small refrigerator, a coffee machine, a kettle, several beverage options, water bottles, and enough outlets for two of us and our devices (including USB chargers without the need for adapters). We were unsurprised but disappointed to learn that we'd be paying for all meals taken there, though we did receive some room credit when we utilized "The Market" (the coffee and premade goods shop). The pool is clean and lovely, but shallow, and the locker rooms are very nice. The valet, as well as self-parking, is at the building across the way (the same one which looks directly at the non-lakeview windows of the hotel). Good wireless, helpful front desk staff, and easy checkout.

I stayed here for a night while in town on business and was thoroughly impressed with the service, setting and accommodations. Everyone from the front desk, valet, restaurant and market staff was friendly and professional. I also appreciated the attention to detail and personalization from the front desk. During my check out, there was an array of fun stickers laid out at the front desk. When I asked about them, I found out there was a book/writers conference at the hotel that day and the stickers were for those checking in for said conference as a welcome. Even though I wasn't part of the intended audience, it was nice to see a hotel of this size extend thoughtful gestures usually reserved for smaller boutique properties.

As a globalist, I was upgraded to a executive suite that was spotless and well laid out. The views from this hotel are fantastic; the hotel restaurant Water's Table takes full advantage. Breakfast was delicious.

In terms of the location, the spot on the shores of Lake Washington is great however if you're looking to sightsee in downtown Seattle, it is a bit of a hike. It is perfect for those looking to spend time in the Renton area -- or a fantastic location if you want to be within 10 minutes of SeaTac. I'd happily come back for another stay when the opportunity arises.

Interior design and overall cleanliness were impeccable. The price range of the hotel shop were extreme, and I ended up opting to drive to a local café instead. The walls were really thin, I could hear the cleaning staff early in the morning in the halls and the family next to us. I will say, the facility is beautiful and we did not stay long enough to enjoy the lengthy list of amenities they had to offer.

I'd previously stayed at this property and had excellent experiences.

My last visit to the hotel was shockingly bad.

The hotel's public areas were in dirty condition. The furniture in "The Market" was covered in crumbs. Staff in "The Market" gossiped with each other and didn't wipe down anything.

The hotel's Regency Club has closed, with no suitable alternative for guests who previously qualified for entry. Staff's reaction to this was a shrug.

Housekeeping service was clearly performed in a rushed manner--towels thrown on the rack and the bed barely made.

And the restaurant - ridiculous. Breakfast (which Hyatt members now must eat in the restaurant, since the lounge was closed) was incredibly slow. Dinner was equally disappointing; sitting at a table on the heated outdoor patio (where tables were set for diners and where people were eating) took intervention from management.

Sad to see a formerly excellent Hyatt with excellent guest benefits with such substantial decline in its quality. Despite the cutbacks to service, including closure of the lounge, the room rate was no less expensive than ever. One used to be able to justify it for the quality of accommodation, service, and perks, but now the hotel is pretty comparable to the other chain hotels (like a Hampton Inn) nearby.

We stayed here to celebrate a family birthday and had an amazing experience. The hotel itself is situated right on Lake Washington, and it lends itself to a fun summer vibe. It was so fun for our kids to be able to walk to the nearby playground and cute little beach and walk along the lake.

The hotel provides excellent customer service, and we were impressed with the hospitality of the front desk staff (Sisi and Chloe) as well as the person who helped book our reservation (Emily). Everyone we interacted with seemed like they truly wanted to make the stay as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

There was a wedding onsite the day we checked in, and it totally did not interfere with our stay or experience, which I know can happen at other hotels. In fact, I wouldn’t have even known it was going on except for seeing some signs and guests dressed up.

The room was clean and tastefully designed, and it is worth it to pay extra to book a room with a lake view as the view of the sunset is spectacular! The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The amenities built into the resort fee were terrific and included free s’mores, a complimentary evening wine pour, a daily market credit, and access to borrow items like a beach volleyball or rackets to use at the nearby park. There is an indoor pool and good size hot tub on the lower level that we didn’t use but looked fun for families.

We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a getaway near Seattle without the dense crowds or traffic of the city. We will be back again for sure!!

This Hyatt Regency is nestled into a newer business area with several hundred feet of waterfront on the southern shores of Lake Washington. With the lake immediately accessible via docks and the adjacent city park, the setting is surprisingly beautiful. And the hills frame a picturesque view of downtown Seattle from the backside of the hotel. And it nestles up immediately next to the Boeing Renton plant, with not yet painted 737s parked about 100 ft away from the hotel property. The Waters Table restaurant is excellent, but make sure to have reservations or you may have to wait on busier days. There is also food and beverage service out on the back deck which makes for an amazing place to hang out and watch the sun set over downtown Seattle!, as well as a fast, but good quality coffee bar and cafe on the front side of the hotel lobby that was great for a quick bite or latte on the way out.

My recent stay at the Hyatt Regency Renton was quite enjoyable. The hotel boasts fantastic views, especially from the higher floors. The rooms themselves were clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. As a Globalist member, I appreciated the excellent service and access to the Regency Club lounge. The lounge offered a decent selection of snacks and beverages, making it a convenient spot to relax and unwind.

While the food at the hotel restaurant could use some improvement, the convenient location allows for easy access to a variety of dining options nearby. The proximity to a park also provides a lovely opportunity for a leisurely stroll. The hotel's valet parking service is a helpful amenity, especially considering the busy surrounding area.

Overall, I recommend the Hyatt Regency Renton for a pleasant stay in the area.

Not worth the price point. Single ply toilet paper, partial lake view was a slit between buildings. Complimentary evening wine was a splash pour then you had to pay restaurant was your basic hotel food. Hotel is tucked away from nearest commercial establishments so expect to drive if you want more than hotel food and bar.

I would rate the Lakeview high but the food value quite low. The housekeeping staff is very friendly but the management could do a better job with room cleaning and customer service. Don't order a steak you'll be very disappointed. Not all Lakeview rooms are comparable the room rate premium is not recommended.
