At the Seattle Airport Marriott, guests have experienced a mixed bag when it comes to room comfort, with some praising the cleanliness and design, while others are bothered by noise. The service has been described as hit-or-miss, with staff members that are sometimes attentive and at other times, not as much. While the shuttle service is a highlight, limited amenities have been a point of contention. Travelers are critical of the extra fees, which have marred their perception of the hotel's value. Nevertheless, the hotel's cleanliness often receives commendations, and its location near the airport is seen as convenient, despite parking fee grievances. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is generally viewed as welcoming, with a particularly pleasant lobby bar area.

Seattle Airport Marriott delivers a good airport hotel experience. Airport shuttles are run frequently and the drivers are kind and helpful. The hotel staffs are friendly and the check-in agent apologized for my room not being ready even way past the scheduled check-in time. To my pleasant surprise, the club lounge is reopened with a continental breakfast spread offered in the morning and an evening snack spread featuring a paid bar and food that include sliders, cheese and meat plate, and then an evening dessert spread with complimentary non-alcoholic beverage throughout the day. The club lounge is nothing fancy but provides a nice quiet place for those who need to work. There is a separate computer/print station too inside the lounge, which comes in handy for me.

I requested an upgrade to a corner room/suite, which is nice. There is plenty of space to use. The bed is comfortable. However I am surprised that daily housekeeping is not returned yet and the agent does not remind me to request one for the second day of my stay. Due to the design of the hotel, there are plenty of rooms that did not have an outside view, but facing the interior atrium area. If you are an aviation enthusiast, this hotel does not really have any good rooms for planespotting.

In conclusion, Seattle Airport Marriott offers a good average airport hotel experience and I will not hesitate to stay here again.

This hotel is not just your typical airport hotel. The staff is great! Everyone from the valets, the wait staff at the restaurant, front desk, to the lounge attendants were all great! The food at the restaurant was really good. I had the Cauliflower steak. YUMM!
The only negatives were that the walls are very thin. I could hear every word of the conversation of the (very loud) guest in the room next to me on his phone calls. Also, as with every Marriott hotel they have a Bible and Book of Mormon in every room. This is very inappropriate for guests who are not of those faiths or any faith. Please remove these from your rooms.
Also, all of the bathroom products have palm derivatives in them. Palm is one of the main contributors to global warming. Please consider switching to environmentally friendly (palm and petroleum free) bathroom products.

Overall, I would stay here again.

So I get off my cruise, walk into the hotel at 10am and the lady, dark hair, wish I got her name, there on August 30 at this time says there are 42 people ahead of me but I still can get on a list and be called. Ok cool figured it would be about noon. Maybe a little later. Check in is at a certain time I get it.

She said you can go to the atrium and have a seat. Well I started seeing folks come in while others were already in there so ok figured she told them the same. It’s now 1 there are folks that came in after me gone.hmmm…. Interesting. Could’ve gotten a room but could be sight seeing.

No phone call yet I fall asleep and still no call and it’s now 3 and new staff have arrived. I go to the front desk and the young lady, bless her heart she was so helpful, says “wait you’ve been here since 10” and gets me a room asap.

I forgot to mention while I was waiting, a woman says to me around noon that if she isn’t in her room by 4 she better get her money back because she should be in there by 2 cause she paid extra. Wait what? She says she paid extra for early check in at 2 and some folks do that, even for earlier. “Where they do that”? Seattle? I didn’t see that on anything as I was making a reservation but ok it’s possible.

None the less, I’m in my room. The room is fine but the morning staff service at the front desk is horrible with follow-up or lying either way the afternoon staff took care of me and I thank them.

Dear valued guest, Thank you for your valuable feedback and for sharing your experience. As a busy airport hotel, it is very common for our property to have full occupancy of almost 500 rooms each night, resulting in longer periods of time to prepare the rooms for the next incoming guest(s). With our check-out time being the industry and country wide standard of 12pm, and check-in time of 4pm, this leaves a tight window to have the ability to offer our guests available rooms prior to the standard check-in time. Any guest or reservation that is checked-in prior to 4pm is considered completely based on specific factors and can never be guaranteed. Our hotel is a proud partner with some of the major U.S. airline carriers as their trusted provider of accommodations for their pilots and flight attendants- these guests require specific considerations due to the legalities of crew rest and flight schedules, so likely you are referring to seeing our flight crews arrive or depart, as they are provided rooms commonly before the standard check-in time as required by their contracts. Additionally, as a participating hotel that welcomes a high number of Marriott Bonvoy Elite members, we are required to comply with Marriott Internationals program standards which includes providing certain guests who hold specific status levels pre-arranged accommodations that the hotel has made available on a case by case basis. In some instances, during periods of lower occupancy, we are able to accommodate same-day requests for early check-in or late check-out, which we are more than happy to provide as we know our guests time is valuable. Depending on the specific request of the guest, their particular rate, and many additional factors, an optional early check-in fee is imposed, which is in line with our industry standards. No guest is every imposed an early check-in fee prior to being given physical access to their reserved guest room(s), as that would not be justifiable in any regard. I would like to note that it is impossible for our front desk hosts or any hotel associate to have an exact time or even a close estimate on times when guest rooms become available prior to 4pm, as our guests are allowed to check-out at any point up until 12pm and there is no way for our team to know in advance the future outcomes of when our housekeepers will be able to begin servicing our rooms upon the guests departure. In a similar fashion, as we see with most cruise ship companies, they require passengers to disembark extremely early in the morning to allow their teams to complete the same mission, as us but we are working with a much smaller window of opportunity. We understand and genuinely empathize with our guest's who are returning from a cruise adventure, and likely are tired and seeking early accommodations- these particular days with bulk arrivals coming from disembarked cruise ships create an extremely challenging and dynamic operational environment for us and hotels in our area who provide accommodations for these passengers- it is common to have over 150 people attempt to check-in to the hotel even before 8:30am on a average day when most of our in-house guest's have not yet even checked-out. I certainly understand that effective communication and the responsibility of our staff to provide guests with the most accurate and up to date information is incredibly important, and I can assure you we will look into what occurred in this specific situation. We make it our passion to deliver Wonderful Hospitality Always to each and every guest that we have the pleasure to host, and I apologize that you felt your interactions and experiences were anything less than that- your feedback is highly valuable and will be shared with our leadership team to review and discuss if there are possibilities to improve on any internal processes to address the concerns you have shared. If you would like to share any additional information, or if you would like to discuss this further please do not hesitate to contact us directly.

Travelled to Seattle with my 82-year-old wheelchair, bound, mother and my sister. I booked an accessible room for three adults. The hotel only supplied towels for two people, coffee and tea for two people and would not provide us with more supplies. I had called guest services four times and went to the front desk. I’ve never encounter such apathetic staff at a Marriott hotel. Wait at the restaurant for a simple meal was over an hour. The accessible room was not user-friendly at all was unbelievably uncomfortable. We had booked a wheelchair shuttle to pick us up at 6:30 AM with the front desk. It did not arrive. I check out when I voiced my concerns at seventh time I was told the Seattle Airport Marriott Only supplies rooms with supplies for two people, even if you pay for for more guests. We should have stayed at the Ramada, Hilton or Red Roof in. This hotel was tired & rundown but the service was far worse than the dated appearance of the hotel.

Peek-a-Boo Bath = No Privacy

I can’t say that our stay at the SeaTac Airport Marriott was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, but it easily was the worst Marriott property I’ve ever been in.

Arrival: We arrived at the hotel at 1:30 after checking in remotely and indicating a 1:00 arrival time. The check-in counter clerk curtly announced that check-in was at 3 pm and we would just have to wait in the lobby. Although one might expect an airport hotel to be busy mid-day, this lobby was just like being in the airport terminal – people rushing in and out and an unbearable noise level. Finally, about half an hour later I approached a different counter clerk, who quickly and efficiently checked us into our room.

Accommodations: The room was amazing, but not in a good way. Instead of a private bathroom, there was just a translucent glass dividing the shower and bathroom area from the rest of the room. No walls, and only a glass door. Not only did this prevent using the shower or facilities privately (without being observed by anyone else in the room), it meant that using the bathroom at night kept anyone else in the room awake because it flooded the sleeping area with light. In retrospect, I should have demanded to be changed to a room where I could use the bathroom with some shred of dignity, but I was too trip-weary to do so. The least I can do is to keep others from having to bear the indignities of the SeaTac Marriott’s idea of an appropriate hotel room.

Comfort: The bed was lumpy and the pillows must have come from the clearance aisle of WalMart - they were thin and unsupportive. Also, while it was middle of July, the only bedding provided was a heavy comforter more suitable to a ski resort in January. Sleeping comfortably could only be obtained by dropping the room temperature to 65 degrees, a huge energy waster.

Food and Beverage: After seeing the jaw-dropping prices at the on-site restaurant’s dinner menu, we opted to walk a couple blocks to a very nice restaurant (13 Coins) with a reasonable menu and delicious food. In the morning, a bare-bones breakfast was included, although most Fairfield Inns and Residence Inns provide a greater selection for guests at breakfast.

Facilities: Several years ago we stayed at this property and I was anxious to return because of the beautiful pool and lounge area, which we enjoyed tremendously in our last stay. Alas, the pool has been paved over and now is – well, nothing but an empty area in the middle of the hotel. Also, the concierge lounge which provided a nice retreat and a fine breakfast for Marriott Elite members, was closed for “remodeling,” even though there were nearly a dozen large meeting rooms that could have been pressed into service as an interim concierge lounge for breakfast.

Transportation: At least the airport shuttle was prompt and efficient.

Overall rating: It is not likely I will stay at this property again, and I would not urge others to do so, either.

Dear 935richardss, Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay at the SeaTac Airport Marriott. We regret that your experience did not meet your expectations however your comments don't reflect the majority of guests who enjoy our updated and modern guest rooms and facility. It is also important to note the hotel has not had a pool since 2018 and the prices at 13 Coins are comparable or higher than our highly rated restaurant.

We we stayed here for one night to be close to the airport when we were leaving Seattle. When we walked into the reception desk the man was generally very uninterested. He did not welcome us as titanium members, did not share anything about points or gift options, told us nothing about the concierge lounge or breakfast. It was as if this wasn't even a Marriott property. Our room, 546, was standard but it had a barn door for the bathroom which would not stay shut or lock. We ate at the restaurant last night and had a great server (I wish I would have gotten her name) and decent turkey club. The lobby bar area is very nice. We left the hotel at 4:50am, and after waiting for 10 minutes, I had to walk behind the desk area and get someone to check us out and print receipt. I noticed the $30 fee for parking and asked if Titanium members were exempt from that fee. The person at the desk said he would have to ask the manager when they came in. I'm sure we will never hear another thing about that... This is a really convenient place to stay for early morning flights, but keep your expectations for service low.

Celmo46- Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We truly value your loyalty as a Titanium Elite member, and I want to apologize for the shortcomings you experienced during your stay. It’s disappointing to hear that your arrival experience did not reflect the warm and professional service you deserve, especially as a valued Marriott Bonvoy member. Recognition of your loyalty and clear communication about benefits such as points, gift options, and amenities like the concierge lounge and breakfast should always be part of your check-in experience. I will address this with our front desk team to ensure such oversights are not repeated. I’m sorry to hear about the issue with the barn door in your room and the inconvenience it caused. Your feedback has been shared with our maintenance team to ensure this is resolved promptly for future guests. While I’m glad you enjoyed the service and meal in our restaurant, as well as the ambiance of our lobby bar, I’m disappointed that your check-out experience fell short of expectations. We are reviewing procedures to ensure guests are promptly assisted, even during early hours. Regarding the parking fee, I understand your frustration. While we aim to ensure clarity around charges, I regret the lack of a timely response to your inquiry. I will follow up with our team to ensure your question is addressed and to improve communication moving forward. We hope you’ll consider giving us another opportunity to provide the seamless and attentive service Marriott is known for. Please feel free to reach out directly if there’s anything we can do to make this right or assist with future travel plans.

Booked a room for a post cruise stay before our flight. All cruise ships disembark before noon and the hotel does not open rooms until 4pm. Literally over fifty people sitting around from cruises and flights unable to check in for an airport hotel.

Amenities like WiFi were only usable if you have their travelers program. It’s 2024 Marriott - figure it out.

Staff was condescending and rude, telling us that we could book a night before we even got here if we wanted to check in earlier. They double charged our card and told us not to worry about it. Breakfast was good but highly overpriced (20 for avocado toast? Seriously?) and the waitstaff was yelling across the restaurant to ask us questions and touching our table members on the shoulder.

Dear Lana T, It is not a great situation when your cruise asks you to leave early in the morning so they can clean the ship for the next cruise and you show up at the hotel which has a midday check out time and you have to wait for us to clean the hotel for your stay. It is worth noting your confirmation does indicate 4PM check in time. When our staff is not able to check you in due to the hotel being fully committed the night before they are apparently deemed rude and not accommodative. We don’t like the situation any more than you did and would kindly ask you to be reasonable in your expectations. It is also worth noting all hotels have a late afternoon check in time. We of course accommodate early arrivals when possible. Thanks for staying with Marriott.

My wife and I first stayed at this Marriott on December 28 and 29, 2022 and enjoyed the experience and location so much that we stayed here again on February 3, 2023. When we travel, we sometimes like to stay near the airport before catching our flight and this Marriott is very convenient and very close to the airport. Management and the staff are very good at recognizing our elite status with Marriott and treat us very well. We enjoy getting a bite at the restaurant and relaxing at the bar and chatting with staff. On this particular trip, we were very impressed by how welcoming and attentive Sienna (receptionist) was when we checked in; and we were also very impressed by Jean (at your service) when we called to ask about the menu for room service. Also, after notifying the staff about a toilet problem (continuously running), someone from maintenance came to our room within a few minutes to fix the problem. Kudos to the management and staff at the Seatac Airport Marriott!!

Awful! Would not recommend at all! AND I am a Marriott Bonvoy member. We booked at the Marriott Bonvoy as a stopover after 24 hours of traveling from Africa before we went home to Montana. We made a mistake on the date online from the airplane as a stopover. Kayla the Manager would not work with us, would not budge at all in helping us - refused to rebook.. Kayla put 100% of the blame on us and she literally watched as we left to go get in a Uber and find another hotel. We have been in the hospitality business for 20 years in Montana and would NEVER EVER let a potential guest leave without trying to work out the issues together. Kayla had no problem letting us leave - very condescending - said, “You should know if you are in the business that you need to work it out yourself.” We went to a nearby Hilton that was completely understanding, they waived the early check-in fee knowing how far we had traveled and sympathized with the terrible Marriott attitude. Go for your rebuttal Kayla - we were treated terribly!!!

montana_ranchgal- Thank you for sharing your feedback about your recent experience. I want to sincerely apologize for the frustration and disappointment you encountered during your travels. We understand how challenging long journeys can be, and I am truly sorry that we did not meet your expectations during what should have been a smooth and welcoming stopover. To address your concern, I would like to clarify that Kayla is not a manager or leader at our property. While she is a valued team member, she does not hold a leadership role, and I regret any miscommunication or misunderstanding regarding her position. Regardless of titles, our team is trained to handle guest situations with empathy and flexibility, and I am disappointed to learn that your interaction did not reflect these values. Your feedback has been shared with our leadership team, and we will use this as a training opportunity to ensure all associates approach similar situations with greater understanding and a problem-solving mindset. Our goal is always to deliver Wonderful Hospitality, Always, and it is clear we missed the mark during your stay. While I know we cannot undo this experience, I would love the opportunity to personally assist you should your travels bring you back to the area. Please feel free to reach out to me directly, and I will do everything I can to ensure your next visit is a positive one. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. We value your loyalty as a Marriott Bonvoy member and are committed to improving based on your feedback.

We stayed here one night in between flights from SeaTac. The shuttle was easy to get to, the hotel was clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The ADA room had an appropriate height bed, grab bars at the toilet and unfortunately a bathtub instead of roll in shower.
It was very helpful that they offered the ADA shuttle back to the airport that had a wheelchair ramp and dropped us off right in front of baggage claim. Saved the hassle of getting dropped off at the commercial curb and needing to take an elevator up and walking a long distance to get to baggage drop.

James, While I can't comment on the the other properties, our property follows Marriott current standards for room cleaning which, is done only upon request. You can also just request additional towels, etc. Our restaurant offers a full buffet breakfast in addition to the menu.

This is probably a late response and I don’t know if they have changed the rates but it use to be $8 a night. I returned my car the night before and took the shuttle to the airport
