I recommend this La Quinta not because of the quiet locale, perfect firmness bed, new, crispy clean sheets, great pillows and fluffy new towels, but because of the people working to make this a memorable stay. Brittany at the front desk is helpful, patient, kind, and efficient. Working the late night shift when we arrived, she adeptly handled misplaced travelers who needed a taxi, disgruntled folks who missed their reservation and now faced a sold out situation, phone calls asking for rooms or recommendations for rooms elsewhere, all with a calm demeanor and a smile. The housekeeping staff also does a great job of making a barebones room feel clean and welcoming. The late night and early morning shuttle drivers, Brian and Luke, were willing and strong, friendly and polite. They had smiles for anyone who crossed their paths.
The small breakfast is adequate and the coffee is hot and delicious. This hotel has an upcoming refresh of all the interior spaces which is sorely needed and will then have a full breakfast. Until then it is still a great place to rest your weary head, as we gratefully did after 24 hours of travel! A makeup remover wipe in the bathroom would be appreciated as would a pen and tablet in the room.

A short walk from the airport and a comfortable room after a very late flight. The cleaner would not change a $5 note, so couldn't leave a tip. Skipped the free breakfast when we saw the sugary cereals on offer, ate at the restaurant next door instead.

Checked in online prior to arrival, which is nice as it really speeds up the check in process. Ashley at the front desk was very pleasant, professional and helpful. It was an extremely hot (95 degree) afternoon and the 3rd floor room she assigned us was on the south side of the building. When we walked in the A/C was blowing full blast, but the room was 85+ degrees… clearly it wasn’t going to cool down very soon. I went back down to front desk, Ashley was very understanding and accommodating.. I asked for a North facing room, ended up in a much cooler, comfortable room as a result! One comment… we realize you’re in the midst of renovating rooms and updating the lobby. That said, Wyndham and your property description includes an outdoor pool as an amenity …. Clearly it hasn’t been open or useable in years, probably since Covid! How about doing everyone a favor and adding that the pool is currently not open, available or however you wish to describe it. Otherwise, it’s just false advertising in our opinion. We’ll continue to stay with you before we fly out… we generally leave on a 6 am flight, so your location and shuttle works well for us. Here’s all the things that went wrong with this hotel during our 3 night stay. The place is going through a refurb which they can’t help but there’s a lot of things they could help.
Elevator - this was broken for the entirety of our stay which meant dragging heavy luggage up 5 flights of stairs.
Airport shuttle - again broken so you’ll be walking or getting a cab.
Wi-Fi - in and out and very slow
Coffee - no coffee at breakfast on one morning.
Housekeeping - asked for housekeeping when we went out in the morning. Got back in evening and hadn’t been done. We ended up taking sheets and towels from the laundry and changing them ourselves.
Other than that they did ok 😂

The shuttle was temporarily out of service for necessary repairs to ensure safety, which is why we didn’t operate it during your stay. We understand this may have been inconvenient. Regarding the Wi-Fi, it is functioning properly, but I’m sorry if you encountered issues while connected. As for the coffee, it may have been in the process of being replenished, and we appreciate your understanding in that regard. The room was fresh and clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast was simple, including fruit, bagels, yogurt, fresh waffles, hardboiled eggs, and other breakfast carbs. The manager and staff were all professional and customer-focused and we had a great interaction making our stay very nice. The shuttle bus driver was very accommodating, experienced, and friendly and he ensured we made our flight.

I stayed here twice this month, about two weeks apart, but never again.
During the first stay, the lobby was undergoing a renovation, but it was still navigable.
On the most recent stay, I waited for about 45 minutes to be picked up at the airport at about midnight. Upon arrival at the hotel, I was informed that the elevators were out of service and, to add insult to injury, my room was on the 6th floor. I schlepped my heavy bags up the stairs and managed to get some sleep.
In the morning, I checked out and was ready to ride the shuttle back to the airport. I was notified that the shuttle was not running, even though I had signed up for the shuttle the night before. No phone call from the front desk so I could make alternate plans. I asked if they would provide a cab or other transportation, but they declined. Ubers are $23 +, so the combined price of lodging and transportation negates the discounted room price when compared to neighboring properties with reliable transportation and operable elevators.

My grandson and I really enjoyed our stay for the night. The beds were comfortable and the front staff when we checked in the afternoon of May 5th 2024 we're excellent. She was such a personable person and we had fun talking with her and getting ideas of where to get something to eat and how to get to downtown Seattle. She was funny and we loved talking with her. Once the people above us stopped running water it was fairly quiet in the halls. I would stay again but for other people they are very close to the airport so you hear planes up until a certain time at night. That's why we booked there because it was 5 minutes from the airport.

The rooms are recently remodeled . Much thought went into the design of the room. The bathroom is large especially the sink area. There was room for our toiletries His/Hers . The room was large enough for 2 suitcases luggage racks. The room has usb ports on the desk and looks like they are getting ready to install them by the bed. We did not hear the airport traffic. We had a peaceful night sleep. It was great to have someone take us to the airport the next morning for free. The hotel is very close to the Airport .

The most run down and dirty hotel I have ever stayed in, in the US in my life, very literally! So, first... We booked this room, as we had stayed here 4 or 5 years ago, so my daughter and I could spend a little time in the pool together before she and my wife depart on a long international trip. Not only does the website NOT state the pool is no where near functioning, it implies that it is, and they are still charging their full rates! I asked if we could use the hot tube instead, and the room is locked off, so it could not be used either. The carpets are beyond disgusting, very literally the worst I have ever seen in the US, and I have traveled all over the world, and seen some fairly disgusting carpeting in my life, and this is the worst ever at this hotel! By the sign saying there would be remodeling done, which I suspect has been there for a long time, there is literally water invasion that had come in behind it, with bubbled wall material and paint. In the room its paint was chipping in various places. We booked the room for three people, and there were only two sets of towels. The room was 82 degrees when we entered, so I turned on the AC, and it is very loud, to the pint my wife asked if we could turn it off, and it never brought the temperature down to below 79 degrees all night. To accommodate her, I went to open the window instead, as it was cool outside, and there were no screens in either side of the windows to keep bugs out, so I had to shut the window, and turn the AC back on. The batteries were dying for the remote for the TV. When we went down for breakfast at 6, they had not even started putting it out yet, so we had to wait, though the woman was very nice. And, to top all of that off, the shuttle bus guy to take them to the airport was no where to be found, and was late coming to the shuttle. The only highlight was the staff, who were indeed friendly and nice. It is simply the worst US hotel physically I have ever stayed in! I was shocked to say the least! I have a photo on my phone of the horrid carpet, and when I get my cable, I synch it, and post to prove my point!

I’m also sorry for the issues with the carpets, room temperature, and breakfast timing. Our breakfast is typically served from 7 to 10 AM on weekends, so if you arrived before that time, depending on the day, it may not have been fully set up yet. Supposedly the hotel is freshly renovated. Doesn’t look or feel like it. The room was OK. Nothing special. It was fairly clean but not very clean. Breakfast was a let down. He only warm foods being toast and waffles, but you literally had to wait in line for the waffles machines. No bacon, eggs, sausage or potatoes. Cold hard boiled eggs were available if you searched for them. Reminded me of the restricted hotel breakfast options during Covid. The hotel booked an extra $72 charge from me with no explanation. When I called the receptionist told me he doesn’t know why and that he is unable to look in the computer and see what the charge was for. He literally told me that he couldn’t perform such a minor task. When I asked him for the email address to the hotel so that I could contact management and let them sort it out, he was unable to even provide that. When I asked him if he doesn’t even know the email address to the hotel, his response was “not me personally, no”. Seriously, that was his answer. I felt like I was talking to a 10 year old. The guy did not know his job. So, my next step, as a diamond member, was to contact member services at Wyndham, who told me they can’t help with issues involving hotels carrying their branding. Why even have a member service then if you aren’t going to get involved when the hotel staff is too incompetent to respond? Seriously, we stay in LaQuinta hotels about 40 times a year. We’ve been loyal guests but can’t even get a simple answer to a billing issue that they’re probably in err about. Wyndham is a hit and miss and you never know what you’re going to get with them. Some LaQuintas are top notch with amazing service, others are outright dumps. Wyndham does not seem to care either way. While this one was a let down, we have come to expect that on occasion, the laziness of Wyndham customer services not to intervene and at least represent us is sad. All they had to do was contact THEIR branded hotel and ask about a bogus charge. I guess it’s time to start building status with another chain?
