The Montvale is a nice hotel with a good location for walking around the city, as there is an extensive amount of construction downtown. The reason I'm giving the hotel an average rating is because it had the most uncomfortable bed and pillows we both had ever slept on in a hotel. The bed in 312 had a dip in...

The Montvale is a lovely boutique hotel conveniently located in downtown Spokane. Parking is limited, but check with the hotel staff for parking vouchers. The staff was friendly and helpful. There are three restaurants, two on either side and one below this hotel. This hotel is nicely decorated with very comfortable beds and surprisingly, affordable. I will be back!

This is a beautiful historic old hotel with modern accoutrements. It is kept up very well and surprisingly affordable. Our room was huge and gorgeous. Parking is somewhat limited and you have to walk down the street to the Hotel Ruby for free breakfast, but that's not really an inconvenience. You're right in the middle of everything downtown: food, bars,...

Love staying at the Montvale. It is not your typical hotel. If you are looking for something a little different, with character, this is your hotel. The area is little "funky" and up and coming. Great value. Hotel is clean. Free coffee and gourmet teas available on second floor all day/night. Bars, bakeries, resale shops in the area. Loved staying...

Artfully renovated historic hotel made for a classy yet inexpensive experience. Tall ceilings, antique furniture but contemporary beds and TVs. Love the second floor shared lobby, with coffee service 24/7. Adjacent new deli and bar convenient. Staff very helpful with our parking ticket bestowed while we were checking in - beware of the construction and overzealous parking meter enforcers in...

An exceptional Historic property. I have a huge two-room suite with a large bathroom and a murphy bed. The rate was very reasonable, the staff is very nice and helpful and there's a huge sitting area with a sky-light and comfortable furnishings. It's quiet, well maintained and has all the architectural details of grand historic building.

High ceilings, large rooms and bathrooms, excellent furnishings - the only thing missing is an in room coffee maker. The rooms all circle a common sitting area that goes up to the roof and a large sky light. This was my second stay in Spokane this trip and will be a place I go back to definitely. It's very well...

The Montvale is a quaint, updated older hotel in downtown Spokane. The rate was very reasonable. There was construction in the area so it was interesting getting around. We stayed one night at the Montvale and found it very nice. New owners are renovating, so the lobby is stark at this time. Desk staff are very nice. Second floor atrium is very nice. Our room was very comfortable. Price is good. Location was good for walking to shops/mall/park.
