Found this by accident, browsing for something a little different than the norm. If you're looking for Cable tv, spacious rooms, and 5-star amenities like a Hilton, then you are looking at the wrong place. Don't get me wrong.....there is PLENTY that is right here! The owners and the staff make this feel like you are visiting a long-lost aunt...

My wiife and I have been going to Tokeland for almost 8 years now and will continue to return. As many of the other reviews state, this is not your typical hotel. There are 18 rooms and 4 bathrooms to be shared by the guests on the second flloor, you will not find a TV, radio or iPod...you may not...

My husband and I spent an afternoon and night at the Tokeland Hotel in June, 2012. Going there was one of the smartest trip decisions we ever made. Our hosts were friends from the beginning, the food was very good and our room (as was the entire hotel) delightful. Waking up to see through the large old window the fields...

Had a wonderful time - incredible place with a lot of history . If going exploring around there are tons of little private beaches and even found a great place to surf. This is a hidden treas

This is not your run of the mill hotel, it is an original 1885 hotel furnished with turn of the century furnishings and shared bathrooms, if you want all your mod cons this is not the place for you. If like me you want somewhere with a forgotten charm, the most amazingly friendly staff, wonderful food and just the feeling...

If you find a change of pace, nostalgia, and something a bit different, this might be your favorite place, but if you must have all the amenities of a 5-star hotel, go somewhere else! This is a late-1800's hotel with full-service restaurant and all the charm. Keep in mind that the bathrooms are next door, not in your room. The...

My wife and I stayed their last night. It was great.....quite, serene and very calming. This family run hotel is over a hundred years old, rooms are European style with shared hallway bathrooms. We sat in front of the fireplace and read books until we were ready to have dinner. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The owners and...

I recommend the Tokeland Hotel for its great food, charming ambiance and friendly staff. It is a wonderful get away to the Washingston Coast: getaways from TV, computers, cell phones and the like. It's three steps up from camping out and one step below Motel 6 (only because bathroom's are down the hall). The restaurant's menu is diverse and offers...

We stayed at the hotel two nights. It's very charming and just being there takes you back in history. The innkeepers were friendly and accommodated a couple of our special needs. The only negative that would probably keep me from returning to stay the night was the bed and pillows. It all needs to be replaced.

We arrived on Friday to find one of three reserved rooms had been given away. The hotel did make it right by giving us a lower rate on the one room. The lobby and dining area are what you would expect from an older hotel, dark wood, large windows streaming in lots of light, comfortable furniture, charming decor, three pianos,...
