The Embassy Suites By Hilton Seattle Tacoma International Airport is well-regarded for its cleanliness and prime location near shopping areas, as highlighted by guests who appreciate the well-kept rooms and convenient setting. However, despite the comfort and spaciousness of the rooms, some guests have called out their dated appearance and suggested the need for refurbishment. While the hotel staff has received accolades for being helpful, service experiences have been inconsistent, with particular issues surrounding shuttle service and customer service. Additionally, travelers have expressed concerns over unexpected charges and the overall value for the price paid, alongside dissatisfaction with the amenities, citing inefficiencies with shuttle timing and breakfast service.

This is average embassy suites. No complaints on rooms, customer service, ect. The only thing I would say is that this is the worst, most pathetic excuse for Welcome reception I have ever seen. The wine was served in plastic cups. the bartender said it was because of low staffing and no one to wash the glasses. ugh. hire more people. I ended up throwing it away. Woodbridge wines is cheap enough, but to serve it in plastic? Ghetto. Then they put out a small plate (think a tad bigger than charcutier board for 2) of fruit. and lays potato chips with 3 dips? Ranch, blue cheese, and yogurt for im guessing the fruit. This is terrible. Post COVID it was cheese, hummus, veggies, crackers. Whoever thought this was an acceptable substitute needs a class in business management. Like i said the room were fine, but if one of the reasons you choose Embassy suites is for their reception hour- save your money and go to the nearest gas station where you could get better choices for $2.99.

We stayed overnight for one night in order to purchase parking during our vacation and to shuttle to the airport for a 6:30 am flight. I had checked ahead of time to be sure the pool was open for my kids-I was told yes and given the hours but not told we had to have a reserved time to use it.
Luckily we were able to make an immediate reservation to use the pool and my kids were happy. I had to ask at the front desk twice for any towels to be brought to the pool area and the front desk staff was annoyed with my request.
Upon check in on Friday night April 1, 2022 I asked about the airport shuttle and made reservations for 4 for the 4 am shuttle.
We arrived at 3:50 am and the front desk person told us the shuttle would arrive shortly. A few minutes later the shuttle driver arrived and asked us if we minded having our 11 year olds sit in our laps as the shuttle was overbooked as they had just allowed an extra group onto the 4:00 shuttle.
I asked if there were enough seat belts and was told no “we don’t worry about that on shuttles. “ I was given the option to take that shuttle or wait for another ( and who knows if we’d have the same problem?) or I could have called an Uber or a cab. As we just wanted to get to the airport we crammed into the overly full shuttle where all the children were crammed in or seated on parents laps. While driving to the airport the driver talked nonstop about traffic accidents with “bodies in the road” and how because of traffic accidents the wait for a shuttle back to the hotel could be “hours.” It felt like he wanted to do everything he could to convince us not to take the shuttle again!
Coming home we used Uber to pick our car up at the hotel and were unhappy to see the security gate in the parking lot was in the “up” position the entire time we loaded and left despite no one coming or going. We had left our car here because of the secured entry and exit.
We love the Embassy and even stayed at this location before and after our wedding 3 years ago. However we will continue to stay at other Embassy locations and not use this one again. In the future we will choose another hotel for our park and fly needs.

I enjoy Embassy Suites in the Hilton hotel chains. I stayed at this one during a recent storm where I had a power outage at home.

It is a bit older than some other Embassy Suites I've stayed in recently. On the plus side, the room was large with a separate bedroom. The living area has a table with chairs to work or eat at, a couch, side chair, coffee table, tv, etc. Comfy and usable. There was a bar area with sink, microwave, and fridge.

The bath was a little small, but had a good size countertop for toiletries.

The bedroom had a king bed with matching night stands, an armoire, ottoman, tv, etc. USB and plug-ins available. Temp was good.

They have a great breakfast, but I wish it started just a bit earlier. I had to miss it one day to get to work on time. Lots of hot items, omelet bar, choice of juices, fruit, etc.

Staff was very friendly and professional. I appreciated the 2 waters I received. They followed up with me daily to check on my stay. They were able to check me in a bit early and that was fantastic!

A couple of areas for improvement... Only one of 3 elevators was working. It was pretty noisy one night with lots of kids running around and the smell of cigarette smoke was strong the next morning. Not sure it if was coming from a room or outside. Also, the parking gate was not working.

Despite this hotel needing a few updates, I thought the service was great and the location is good, as well. It is close to the Southcenter Mall area, so there are lots of places to eat nearby. It is also a quick drive to the airport.

This is by far the WORST Embassy Suites I have ever stayed in. I can usually depend on the Embassy for top notch service and accommodations, but this one failed in both. We were given very confusing directions for the shuttle service from the Airport. We were told to wait at a location that had no Embassy Suite sign unlike other hotels that were doing pickup. When we waited for 45 minutes for a shuttle, we thought surely they had given us the wrong location when we found another location with an Embassy Suites sign. We waited there for another 25 minutes and then called the hotel. They couldn’t give us a time when shuttle would arrive. We finally gave up after much frustration and took an Uber. When we finally arrived at the hotel, we were not even greeted the normal, “Welcome to the Embassy Suites.” The receptionist had an attitude when we asked her about the different location for pickup at the airport. She began to lecture us and told us “You don’t understand!” like we were some kind of morons. You would think that the shuttle would pick up in the location with the Embassy Suites signage. When we got to our room, we found a very outdated room. After unpacking, we proceeded to the lobby and found furniture that was in deplorable condition! The leather was worn and missing in many places. I have never visited a Hilton property that was in such need of a serious renovation like this one. That was our experience the first night before heading out to an Alaskan cruise. Upon returning the following Sunday morning, we arrived early and knew it was too early to check in. Again, we were not properly greeted at the desk. I was asked for my ID and was told in a very curt manner, “I see your reservation. Check in is not until 3.” I asked if we could store luggage, and she handed us tickets to tag luggage and said they would be stored in room. When we came back to the hotel after church services, our luggage was still very near the door and had not been properly stored. Around 2:00 we asked if there was a room available and was told there was one available but that it would cost us another $25 to check in before 3. I have stayed at numerous Hiltons across the country and have never been charged for early check-in! So what they were really telling a Hilton’s Honor Member is you can wait for the same room for another hour or pay up now and check in. Seems like disrespecting the people who sre loyal to Hilton. I think I’ll be choosing Marriott from here on out!

I was happy with the room that I had and the front desk staff were polite. However, I stay at a lot of hotels and travel a bit and I chose particular hotels for their brand reputation and experiences I have had with their brand. In this case, the room and the front desk staff met my expectations. However, one of the major reasons I stay at Embassy Suites is the quality and convivence of their breakfast. For this property they did not measure up with other Embassy Suites.

The main issue was they have made their "free breakfast" inconvenient to use. First you have to present a special card just to get the breakfast - I didn't realize this and the first day I went down and waited in line, but didn't have this "special" card with me as it was in my room - so no breakfast that day!!!!

The next day I brought may card at about 7:25 AM and they were NOT operating yet, and there were already huge lines for the "buffet" and "cook to order" - lines that will take at least 30 minutes to go through. So I drove to Jack-In-The-Box went through the drive through picked up my order and brought it back to the hotel. Looked at the line and I was still back faster than where I would have been in that line!!! Very, Very inefficient. This does not happen at other Embassy Suites!

The main issue is they do not do their "buffet" the same as every other Embassy Suites I have been to. They have decided to put a single individual behind glass to serve each customer individually - so the buffet is essentially a single flow line with an order taker - not really the concept of a buffet. People then ask for extras, to do things differently, and the first day when I was waiting one customer took 5 minutes at the front of that line making the entire line way 5 minutes that they would not normally had to wait if it worked like a normal buffet. The concept of a buffet is you walk up in multiple lines pick what you want, and move forward, no staff to interact with to slow things down. Then all extras like butter, syrup, etc. are in their own area of the buffet so you don't have people asking for this type of thing and having an individual go and get it - this slows the entire process down.

This is the most inefficient Embassy Suites I have ever been at and I will stay at Residence Inn next time because of this insane inefficacy in something that I look forward to at Embassy Suites. I ended up not getting any breakfast from Embassy Suites on this trip because of this total lack of care for their customers experience..

Worst hotel I have ever checked in, lower quality than Best Western or even Red Lion. Rooms were extremely outdated, it had low POPCORN ceiling or also known as acoustic ceiling that was famous back in the 80s. Upon entering, an odor combination of musk, and old person meets us at door, room were extremely dim and had to demand to change these yellow soft white light bulbs into daylight bulbs. Drawers aren't sliding properly, door hinges from closet is broken off, windows are all unable to slide open, zero sink catcher, etc. Elevator making all kinds of squeal noises and one out of three elevators is the one only working. Baggage cart tires are flat, courtyard furnitures, the leather are peeling, and stains are visible. Parking lot is extremely unattended, zero maintenance, parking lines are barely visible. Plenty of visble broken glass meaning vehicles here are commonly broken in. We checked in at 1pm and left for lunch, upon returning, we've notice my security set up was tripped meaning someone entered our room without our concent so immediately we checked out at 7:20pm on the same day.

Where do i start? Black stuff growing in the seams of the bathtub surround? Yep, broken silicone joints DO aid black mold. Decor? Mid eitghties in need of a redo. Basils kitchen restaurant? What restaurant? Its closed down,.. even tho advertising says its open. Telephone in the room? Inoperative. Kitchen staff cleaning used plates from hundreds of travelers? Two men...totally inadequate. Trying for a $30 early checkin fee? Innovative upsell maybe, but nothing ive ever experienced at a embassy suites before. They get a three star because the staff and breakfast was decent. Kids playing with elevators and running down hallways? Plenty of that. Broken elevators causing crowding? Oh yes!!! There HAS to be better somewhere in Seattle. Some staff say the investing group that owns this location is just letting it run down and taking the money.. on thatt i can give them five stars. Its obvious.

Based on the recent reviews , I was plead surprised to walk into a fresh, clean and updated Hotel lobby and inside courtyard area. Maybe the hotel was renovated since the negative reviews but, the main areas looked to be fairly new with ample tables, chairs and lounge areas. The things lacking was that the restaurant was still closed and the happy hour though offered free drinks served in plastic cups. It would have been nice to offer local Seattle wine and perhaps more variety of snacks. The parking was not an issue as the parking lot was secured and require an active keycard to get in. The room was clean although did have an off smell. A little air freshener or carpet fresh would go a long way for the cleaning crew.

There are several good restaurants at the nearby Westfield mall. Nothing much within walking distance of hotel unless you want fast food.

The nearby parks seemed a bit seedy. Recommend to skip nearby parks and go the saltwater state park.

September 2023. Booked 2 connecting rooms for my daughter's birthday when we got into the rooms they weren't connected called the front desk, they said sorry not available. Pool was an important feature for our stay. Turns out it was disgusting. Very cloudy and dirty. Jacuzzi was out of order the entire time. 1 elevator was out of order entire stay. Security locks on window were broken. Splatter markers on walls in livingroom. Dishes and cups on floor in hallway outside stairwell. Faucet handle fell off after 1st use. Toilet was clogged after 1st use of going #1, called all numbers on hotel room phone multiple times for 10 minutes, no answer. Check-in took longer than normal due to credit card pad not functioning. To say the least I was embarrassed for my kids and our guests and was extremely disappointed.
