While this is definitely one of the cheapest large chain hotels in Wenatchee area, the property is definitely weathered, and there are some significant issues with the cleaning of the rooms. Our recommendation would be to use this property if you are planning on just sleeping in the room, or maybe grabbing a quick breakfast.

The biggest issue is the cleanliness of towels and bathroom surfaces: we arrived late, so we weren’t in the mood to request additional towels, but you can see what kind of stains we found on the towels, and unfortunately, the next day, on the bed sheets as well. The balcony also had significant pigeon presence, and even though the train only passed through town immediately behind the hotel (I should add, twice through the night), it was incredibly loud and did wake us up.

House cleaning staff might also want to take another look inside microwaves, to make sure people haven’t left food there from previous visits!

One important message to the hotel staff: wear your Covid masks, and don’t brag to customers that you “don’t ever wear one”! Especially out loud when there are a number of people in the lobby! Germs and viruses are another reason to maybe reconsider this particular property.

Aside from a slow drain in the shower, our stay was excellent. The room was clean, functional and exactly what we were expecting. What made our experience even better was that sunny disposition of the front desk attendant, Sammy. She was like a ray of sunshine and a breath of fresh air all rolled into one. She was genuine and knowledgeable in referring us to several fascinating points of interest. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The rooms were older, awkward extra space that should have had more furniture but didn’t have anything to fill the space. They ended up not having the room type that we booked available. Breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast, eggs, bacon, bagels, waffles, etc. They ran out of waffles, bagels, and coffee when there was still 30 minutes left in breakfast and we only saw one employee trying to maintain that whole area.

We arrived during Octoberfest which occurs in Leavenworth. The hotel was busy and the rooms are mostly quiet. The hotel is dated as are the rooms.

The rooms are comfortable with tv's, microwave, fridges, and hair dryers. Our room had a shower only which was fine for us. The mattress was comfortable and clean. The room was mostly clean.

The outdoor pool was closed for the season. The outdoor hot tub was open. The hotel offers breakfast for a small fee. The hotel has ice makers and an elevator. No charge for parking. The hotel is dated with fraying carpets and rotting wood railings surrounding the pool. There is a dated fitness center.

The staff were great and very pleasant. The hotel is in a great location close to restaurants and shopping.

No where on their site does it mention an age restriction. I booked a room for my adult son who is almost 21 and his soon to be fiancée. He wanted a nice room for a romantic weekend surprise birthday present. With a 5 and a half hour drive, they refuse to allow my son to stay at this hotel because he is not 21 or older. They stated that if he would have shown up they would have refused him at the counter. I only found out ahead of time because I called to confirm the booking a couple days prior and to check the amenities.

I had booked it well in advance so had a decent rate. With it being last minute the rates are high and availability is very limited so he is stuck with a much more budget lodging at a higher rate.

I explained the situation and they spoke to the general manager where he stated he would make no exceptions. This is completely unacceptable behavior on Red Lion's behalf! They need to be very clear on their website and ask for age at booking if they want to enforce such policies. He is an adult that can join the military, vote, get married...but he can't stay in a hotel because they think he will party and trash the room?

Both myself and my son's future in-laws travel frequently and as a result of this treatment, I will never stay at a Red Lion again and i will encourage them to do the same. I will also encourage anyone reading this to move along as I will tell everyone I know!

We stayed for three nights end of September. First thing we realized when we got into the room was that the advertised comfy chair in our one queen size bed room was missing! Just an empty space where it should be. The receptionist said that the rooms don’t have it anymore! Why do you advertise it and show pictures? There was a nice balcony, unfortunately useless without furniture. Central heat or in our case cooling not working well and very loud! Overused furniture in the room(desk chair) and breakfast room seating(duck taped)!
Breakfast had no gluten free bread options and there was no fruit for cereal breakfast. The pool was a good size, but didn’t get cleaned in three days and a beer can was there for two days and ended up in the hot tub! The hotel property has a pigeon problem what leads to pigeon poop everywhere around the pool and feathers in the pool and hot tub. We think the hotel is understaffed and should be called a motel instead of hotel.
Information about sightseeing or restaurant recommendations was not available. The staff working the three days were friendly but not well trained and had no knowledge about the area.
Our room faced the rail tracks and was very loud when the train moved through! If you get a room , take one facing the pool.

The room was quite nice beds comfortable, and the service was outstanding. The manager made it very easy to add a person to my reservation and even arranged an early check in, as I was there for medical reasons. At no extra charge mind you. I will be visiting them again.

Stayed 3 nights booking thru Expedia for a decent price. Did not have high expectations based on previous reviews. Check in was not friendly and somewhat uncomfortable as the clerk argued with me regarding the type of room I had booked thru Expedia. No big deal but not a friendly start. We did end up with a room on the bottom floor facing the courtyard. It was a quiet room except we were directly across the hall from housekeeping.
Room had issues. The toilet seat was unsecured and not flushing correctly. I reported it and someone came fairly quickly to fix. It continued to have difficulty flushing and did leak on the floor behind it.
The TV was not working and again reported it. Someone came again fairly quickly but during this time I figured out that the power bar it was plugged into was turned off! The remote was on its last days as required to be close to the TV and up high for some reason??
Room had 4 light fixtures and no one of them matched.
Doors are scratched and bang up.
Furniture old and marked up.

Now the good....
Spacious room.
Large closest.
Lots of hot water and good water pressure.
Bed and linens were decent.
and the breakfast exceeded my expectation with eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, cereal, yogurt and fresh fruit. We only paid an additional $3 CDN for the 2 of us to enjoy breakfast.
Not a write off as I would stay here again for the right price.

First, the hotel is dated and worn, though this isn't the reason for the one star review. I am writing this review from the hotel, after trying to get breakfast which was blocked by a hotel employee working behind the counter desk. Breakfast is from 7am to 10am, and yes, I was going at literally (and I'm using that in the literal sense) 10:01am with my wife and child. I thought at first that the employee was joking, or giving us the heads up that as the breakfast was over, items would be taken away as it was being cleaned up, which would be reasonable. But no, she was saying that as it was 10:01am, we wouldn't enter, though that if it was 1 minute prior, we could. And yes, there were many other people still eating and milling about in the breakfast area.

She was going out of her way to make our day worse, and was just completely unreasonable. Look, we'll just go elsewhere and pay for breakfast. It's not a big deal. What is a big deal is her shocking attitude and desire to go out of her way on a power trip at the expense or her guests. Yikes.

The bedding was pretty gross and the carpets were held together with duct tape and a prayer but the extremely clean pool, big tv, and balcony (bird poop and all) were what made it for me. The staff was super nice and accommodating of my needs with my service dog. Very pet friendly, fun place to stay but bring your own bedding! That being said, I will definitely stay here again. Very family friendly and pet friendly.
