The room was very nice and you could listen to the river. There is no continental breakfast but has refrigerator and coffee. I would stay there again as you can walk to the downtown. We checked other places and were happy with the cost. It also has a little deck.

Loved staying at the Hotel Rio Vista for a quiet couples weekend. Our room was nicely appointed with a fridge large counter to put our things on. The couch was very comfortable and we could see the river while sitting. Our view was outstanding of the river. It was wonderful to be so close. We never turned on the tv;...

The location of the Hotel Rio Vista is a short (I mean really short) distance to walk into town, located right on the river (beautiful view from our room), comfortable bed, wonderful helpful hotel employees and it has plenty of parking. We will definitely stay here again! One slight negative, the carpet looked like it needed to be cleaned in...

This hotel in the friendly town of Winthrop is a great place for exploring the North Cascades. The hotel is situated near the river and every room has a balcony and a river view. Great rooms, clean and the staff is helpful and friendly. The hotel does not have a restaurant so also for breakfast you need to find a...

This is the second time I've stayed at Rio Vista in Winthrop, WA. This is a great alternative for those families visiting the Methow Valley area versus staying at the much more expensive Sun Mountain Lodge, 9.4 miles up the mountain. The rooms are very clean and each one has a small balcony overlooking the river. Very peaceful! Everything downtown...

Rio Vista is well located, with the river and river walk outside your patio door. We were lucky to have a parking lot, ground level room, so we didn't have to do stairs up or down. It feels very private when you step on your patio overlooking the river. The basic amenities provided didn't allow me to give five stars,...

Totally charming place. They have about 30 rooms - and still had the needed two when we booked. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean. And the beds are comfortable. No free breakfast, but we plan to visit the bakery next door for that. The balconies provide a great place to relax over a drink...

This was a clean, comfortable, modern hotel set on the riverbank. We left our window open all night to hear the sounds of the rushing water in the river. They do have a hot tub too. The front desk people were helpful and friendly. Since they do not have breakfast, we walked down the block (on wooden sidewalks) to choose...

Great location in Winthrop, right on the river, leave your door or window open at night and enjoy the sounds of the rushing river. Located about 1 1/2 blocks from town center all the shops and restaurants are within walking distance. Rooms were comfortable, decent size with a nice deck and deck chairs, will stay there again.

Just steps away from the western saloons and aromatic bakeries of downtown Winthrop, the Hotel Rio Vista's rustic facade blends seamlessly with the town's old-time western atmosphere. Overlooking the confluence of the Chewuch and Methow rivers, the hotel features guest rooms that offer private balconies, hand-crafted wood furniture, and works by local artists. For winter adventurers, the hotel is just across the pedestrian bridge from the ice rink and start of the Methow Valley's immaculately groomed ski and fat biking trails. The hotel features a Bike and Ski Wax room just for such outdoor activities.
