Nice and close to everything in town so you can park your car and just walk.. Room was especially clean and updated. Enjoyed the screens on the door to balcony and on the window. Great place to stay. Highly recommended.

Hotel rio vista was a wonderful respite after a long day of skiing and snowshoeing in the methow area. The rooms were not only clean and spacious but were very well appointed with truly comfortable beds and a great leather sleeper couch in the king suite. The view of the mountains and river were spectacular from the two large windows...

We were able to get a room for President's Day weekend due to a cancellation (it is worth it to sign up on the wait list - Paul, the owner, called me the next day to let me know of availability). We wanted to have a fun "snow" weekend with our two young girls, ages 6 and 8, and we...

After a long drive from Seattle, this was like driving into a different world like going back to the old wild west. The hotel is relatively basic but is more than adequate. Friendly reception and sensibly priced rooms. We were on the ground floor overlooking the rushing and therapeutic river. Great restaurants nearby and overall a good place to stay....

The hotel is very close to one of the entrances to the community ski trails, and also very close to the Rocking Horse Bakery and everything else in town. The private balcony was nice, and we had a great river view. The central corridor from which the rooms are accessed is very cold. The walls are very thin, and we...

I was on a road trip through the North West, heading back from Montana. Stopped at the hotel Rio Vista. What a WONDERFUL place. The mix of modern and rustic in the spacious rooms, the linens were so comfy and nice, the decor of the room was perfect for the setting. The bed was like a piece of heaven, and...

We did not stay for long visit, simply came in and attended out friends wedding beautiful Methow Valley. I liked this hotel as it was affordable and smack in town walking distance to places to visit easily.

A very comfortable hotel. Run by a great couple and everyone who worked there was incredibly nice and helpful. We stayed on the lower level which is great because there is absolutely no noise from the road and the view of the river is fantastic. It is the closest hotel for walking to the cross-country trailhead over by the ice...

We left the balcony doors open all night so that we could hear the river rapids just below our room. We had 4 inches of new snow and the view from our room was like an Christmas Card. Would definitely re-book

We stayed two nights while looking around the town and hiking. This property is beautifully maintained with spectacular views of the river, including private patios for sitting and viewing. While in the midst of shopping and restaurants it was extremely quiet.

Just steps away from the western saloons and aromatic bakeries of downtown Winthrop, the Hotel Rio Vista's rustic facade blends seamlessly with the town's old-time western atmosphere. Overlooking the confluence of the Chewuch and Methow rivers, the hotel features guest rooms that offer private balconies, hand-crafted wood furniture, and works by local artists. For winter adventurers, the hotel is just across the pedestrian bridge from the ice rink and start of the Methow Valley's immaculately groomed ski and fat biking trails. The hotel features a Bike and Ski Wax room just for such outdoor activities.
