We stayed on TripAdvisor recommendation and must confirm this motel as a jewel in a very cute 'western themed' town of Winthrop Washington. It is located about 1/2 mile from the town center. An easy walk. Good Restaurants also nearby.

Great hosts - informative, welcoming. Excellent value for money. Lovely room with comfy beds, very clean and good in-room amenities. Stayed with 2 small children. Close to restaurants and the centre of town. No issues being by roadside - v quiet. Would highly recommend
My husband and I stayed at Mt. Gardner Inn a couple of years ago, so we made sure to book again this time. We were in town for the concert at Pearrygin Lake State Park. Clean, comfortable room, lovely hosts. We will absolutely book again!
My husband and I stopped for 1 night on our way over the North Cascades Highway and absolutely loved the hotel. Very clean, comfortable, and friendly staff. I highly recommend this hotel in the lovely town of Winthrop.

The big question for the Methow Valley in May is whether or not the North Cascades Highway is open. You can get there when it's not open, but you have more options when it is open. There is a wsdot webpage that lists historic opening dates. I normally go in winter, but I have been there over Memorial Day weekends a couple times. The weather is typically warm and dry then.
