The golf course was beautiful and not crowded. The fairways and greens were a bit long, but the course was so peaceful, and worth playing. Rates were reasonable. The rest of the park is beautiful, and worth a day or overnight trip- they offer many activities (hiking, horseback riding, boating, swiming).

Stayed in bungalows. Sized for 6. Fortunately on 3 since the weather is still cool to cold for Texans. Lovely cabin. Stocked with cooking utensils and dishes for 6. The sounds of nature and silence are wonderful. Phone reception good. Wifi available at lodge. Calvert Baptist of Berkeley Springs brought Sunrise Service to the park for Easter.

Stayed March 2015, in a luxury cabin. Still found it a touch on the basic side but it had everything you needed. Two main observations if you want to call it that is that the couches and chairs were so uncomfortable. There really wasn't anywhere to "lounge about" when you got in after an active day. Second, the reception from...

Stayed / ate at a place where life slows down and lets you catch up. Good rooms, good food, great atmosphere at fair prices. We went here, just 25 miles from our home, to just get away from the hustle and bustle of professional life and throttle back for a day and an evening - and it worked!

We went to the resort for their New Years celebration. The room was extremely small and the bathroom was even smaller. The walls are so thin between rooms that it was unnerving. We had to lay on our sides and put pillows over out ears to keep from hearing the neighbors at 1:00 a.m. The lighting in the bathroom was...

We just got back from staying in a cabin here. We went down on Thursday in the middle of the week(during the OFF season) and arrived around 1:30 PM. They would not check us in until exactly 4:00 ( I mean not even 1 minute before). We had to sit in the lobby(we had my wife's 82 year old father...

Last Spring, my husband and I were traveling to Pennsylvania to visit family. The trip was long! We decided to stop to stretch our legs at Cacapon State Park. We had only seen the sign before and had No Idea what lay ahead as we drove into the State Park. The park entrance is beautifully wooded. Quickly, a small lake...

This is an older facility, but very nice. I especially loved the lodge "lobby", which is a gigantic room with a gas fireplace, books, a big tv, free internet access and a public computer, puzzles, and loads of games. The restaurant is really great! Great views as well. We had a huge choice at the dinner buffet, for a very...

My husband and I were getting away for a few days between the end of soccer season and the start of the holiday season. We came to Cacapon Resort and stayed in lodge. We were in room 15. It's SUPER small (main area 15x15). Dinner was good and breakfast was very good (they don't have gravy though). The staff was...
