Stayed for one night. Contacted before arrival to ask for recommendations for evening meal. List emailed to us. Arrived 3 hours earlier than expected, no problem . Lovely refreshments on arrival with home made cakes. Rooms outstanding with plenty of milk and a good supply of tea, coffee and biscuits. Also nibbles and chocolate in the room too. Great facilities in room including most comfortable large king size bed and very modern bathroom. Lounge available for use throughout. Location absolutely beautiful. Made to feel most welcome without being intrusive at all. Breakfast of a very very high standard. Well worth a visit and a shame we only stayed one night. Would highly recommend to anyone and very reasonably priced too. A genuine 5 star experience.

Absolutely lovely overnight stay. Tea/coffee and cakes on arrival and a warm welcome from Mel. Large comfortable room with quality products and complimentary chocolates, biscuit and nibbles. Well stocked refreshment tray. Beautiful surroundings and lovely doorstep walks. Delicious breakfast with plenty of choice. Spotlessly clean and Covid safe environment. Faultless.

A warm and friendly welcome from Mel which leads to a relaxing environment. We have stayed on previous occasions and intend to return again shortly. The extensive breakfast is highly recommended. Location is a few minutes from the M6 and in an ideal location for the South Lakes and Morecambe Bay area. There are also several good eateries within a few miles of the house.

This bed and breakfast is superb. The food is great. The bedrooms are spacious, comfortabl and beautifully appointed. The setting of the house is perfect. Its about 3 miles from the M6 but you cant hear any noise. You can see the Lakes in the distance. Yorkshire is next door. Perfect.

I hadn't been here for many years but was on a nostalgic trip with my Father to the Lake District who has stayed here many times and we were so looking forward to visiting again and we weren't disappointed. Such a wonderful welcome from Tom who carried our bags and showed us to our fab rooms and then made us a cafetiere of coffee and brought a tray with the sandwiches we had ordered with crisps and yummy chocolate brownie just lovely. The rooms had such stunning country views and were very well appointed. Large super comfortable beds you just didn't want to get out of!! Spotlessly clean and well maintained throughout I had a bath and a shower so I was able to have a relaxing soak using the local Bath House products provided a real luxury for me it was just so peaceful and we felt so at home. Mel was so attentive a fantastic host who just knows how to make you feel at ease again a very welcoming and warm person who clearly loves what she does and it shows. My room was very spacious with 2 televisions no less. There were generous coffee and tea making facilities and a few goodies in the fridge. I even noticed dressing gowns in the generous wardrobes too. If you are looking for a getaway in stunning countryside this is the perfect place to escape from it all for a while. Great breakfast choices too.
