My family was supposed to travel internationally but had to change our plans given the pandemic. We found the Inn while searching for places that are safe and socially isolated. We stayed in the hide-away cabin for three nights with our dogs. We went hiking each day and exclusively followed Ed's recommendations (Spruce Knob, Seleca Rocks, Blackwater State Park, and hiked up to the Ridge on the North Fork Mounin Trial). After coming back, we enjoyed dinner at the Inn with amazing views of the mountain, and Ed and Carol's excellent culinary skills (as attested by many reviewers here). One thing we learned from the trip: Google Map isn't always accurate in the area. We tried using it to locate the Lindy Point Observation Deck and was lead down a remote dirt road miles away

It’s hard to describe how amazing our stay was. We were greeted upon arrival by Davis who was so helpful, and thorough in showing us around the property, and giving us the details about our room and the on site meals. He’s a really great guy, and made us feel so welcome and comfortable. It was nice running into him during our stay and sharing a smile. Ed’s cooking was exactly what we needed after a long day of exploring the High Allegheny backcountry. Carol’s baked goods are amazing. My girlfriend and I wish they would adopt us lol. Olivia was so kind and helpful in serving us our meals both nights of our stay. Working in the rat race of the city is tiring, and stressful. Striving to always achieve more and more, to accumulate more and more things. When you come to

My husband, my 2 dogs, and I had such a great and peaceful time at North Fork Mountain Inn. Ed and Carol were such welcoming hosts, and the food was always fantastic! They were so accommodating to our wants and needs. They even revealed the gender of our firstborn to us at our dinner, which was a request I had made. My experience was just perfect... There are hiking trails that are accessible from the Inn and road leading to the Inn. Our Hideaway cabin had no wifi, which is perfect for me since my husband was forced to spend time off his phone/laptop and just be present in the moment with me and the boys. The main cabin had wifi so that we could catch up on work-related calls/emails when we wanted to (often did this when our complimentary breakfast was served). And did I mention

Ed and Carol are fantastic hosts! The cabin suites were a place my wife and I could relax and enjoy a quiet get away. The food Ed prepares is excellent and his knowledge of wine that pairs well with the meal is expert level. I was able to book a professional massage while staying at the North Fork Mountain Inn and it too was an exceptional experience. I didn't even have to leave the property for the massage. The massage therapist came to me and made things really easy. The views of nature and the mountains are best in the area. I would recommend for anyone wanting to get away to come visit the North Fork Mountain Inn.

We stayed three nights in early February and had the place to ourselves. The innkeepers agreed to serve us dinner each night even though it wasn't over a Saturday night and it was great! A nice hike is right out the front door up to a ridge with awesome views. Other hikes are an easy and beautiful drive away. We hiked up Seneca Rocks and drove up to Spruce Knob. The front porch of the inn looked very nice for hanging out when the weather is warmer. Very comfortable beds and enjoyed the Jacuzzi in our room as well as the bottled water. Hope to return soon!
