My room was large with 2 queen beds, refrigerator, tv, and large dresser. This is an old schoolhouse converted into a bed and breakfast. The rooms are clean, quiet. There is also WiFi. It is only a few minutes drive from the center of Fayetteville. There is a nice pool and hot tub with a wooden deck and tables. Good...

We found this little place by accident when planning a last minute trip. It is one of the only places in the area allowing a one night stay, most require a two night minimum. We wanted to be close to town, not in a chain hotel off the freeway. The Country River Inn fit the bill! It's unique setting, a...

Very unique, clean, friendly, and quiet environment. Our three night trip here was fantastic and we will definitely be coming back! Rick was a wonderful host and the breakfast was great! This bed and breakfast was also in such a convenient spot, we did the bridge walk, zip lining and some great hiking trails, all that were within a few...

Very clean, nicely decorated, comfy beds, quiet surroundings and a filling family style breakfast. Everything you want in a B&B. All renovations on this former school were done by the talented owner. Outdoor pool was a bit chilly when we were there, but the hot tub was great. The huge rain shower was a favorite of all.

After spending many a Bridge Day weekend in a bunkhouse or tent, my wife and I decided to spurge and stayed at the Country River Inn for the first time. After two thirty degree nights, we were glad for physical comfort reasons, but also found the Inn a unique option to other B&B’s we have stayed at over the years…not...

I enjoyed my two day stay very much. Rick and Lois were wonderful hosts and he prepared a good breakfast both mornings. He also gave helpful directions to scenic places to visit. I would definitely stay here again if I were to make another trip to West Virginia. -Elaine S., Isle of Palms, SC

I recently stayed at the Country River Inn for a business trip and was very pleased with the accommodations. It is ideally located, close to downtown and many excellent trails. The room was very clean and breakfast was hearty! There is a pool and hot tub available outside. The proprietor is a welcoming and helpful guy. This is an excellent...

First, Rick goes out of his way to make your visit pleasant. In an old converted schoolhouse, it is quaint and all you need for a short vacation. We were there three nights. Good breakfast every morning. Hot tub in the evening was nice, too.

....this place is wonderful. My wife and I started coming to the Fayetteville area in 1992 for New and Gauley River trips, and it has been really cool to watch the area grow and develop over the years without losing its charm. We have stayed in pretty much every motel and B&B in the area over the past 23 years,...
