The innkeepers could not do more to make your trip more comfortable or more enjoyable. Lauren's gluten-free snacks are just delicious. The breakfasts are extraordinary!! There's always fresh fruit (poached pear, hot apple soup) and a yummy drink. Main courses can include frittata, apple pancakes or veggie strata (gluten free, of course) Fresh salad with French radishes (!), cheesy polenta,...

The innkeepers are so nice to our last minute booking request. We had a great time! The gluten-free breakfast is wonderful. We also loved the healthy snacks, various tea selection and board games. The town is beautiful during holidays. We had fun exploring the local farmer's market and holiday crafts market.

Recently had a delightful stay at Thomas Shepherd Inn. My friend and I were first time visitors to the area and wanted a destination with history. We stayed in room 4 . It was quiet and beautifully decorated as is the whole inn. Lauren could not have been a better hostess or more welcoming to us. Each morning we enjoyed...

While visiting Antietam Battlefield and other nearby historic sites, decided to stay at the Thomas Shepherd Inn. From my early evening arrival to departure the next morning, found it to be a wonderful place with a superb innkeeper. Located just up the street from several fine restaurants and other businesses. Will return here in the future!

When we arrived, we were asked if we had dietary needs. I apologetically said I was gluten sensitive. What a great relief to find that EVERYTHING there was gluten free!! AND the breakfast was wonderful!!

Lots of thought was put into a delicious breakfast each morning with a mix of hot and cold items that go above and beyond an ordinary breakfast. And you won't go away hungry either! Lauren and David will take good care of you during your stay providing tips on things to do in town. Their inn is beautiful and each...

My friend and I stayed here for one night over Halloween weekend and had the best time. The owners, Lauren and Dave, could not have been more hospitable. So friendly and helpful. The inn itself is beautiful and the town was adorable. We will definitely be back. Thank you Lauren and Dave for a wonderful experience!

The owners of this charming bed and breakfast, Lauren and David, are so gracious and friendly! They make staying at this inn so very delightful. Clean, charming rooms, snacks and an inviting parlor and library room, absolutely delicious breakfasts. And the town itself is charming, too. It is the home of Shepherd University. My only complaint, one that cannot easily...

My husband and I stayed here in mid-October 2016 during the town's Renaissance festival, and we loved it so much that we already booked for another weekend this coming winter. The warm and wonderful innkeepers, Lauren and David, treated us like family, and their breakfast is spectacular! I have some severe food allergies, and amazingly, instead of having to pick...
