The inn is charming, comfortable, very clean and the atmosphere all around relaxing. Lauren and Dave are delightful hosts who do a fantastic job of making every guest feel very welcomed. They were always happy to chat, see how our day went, and offer suggestions. Wonderful two night retreat. Perfect location, two blocks from the main drag, and far enough...

I cannot express here the totality of our experience but will give a few highlights. Lauren greeted us warmly and immediately assuaged my concerns about vegan food being available. That was so good to hear. Our room was lovely and we are enjoyed the many places to sit. We were across the hall from the guest lounge and porch which...

It was our pleasure! I enjoy the challenge of meeting diverse dietary needs. It helps me become a better innkeeper.

Dave and Lauren went out of their way to look after us. Their home is beautifully appointed and comfortable. They were interested in us as people , and were at pains to make our time with them a special experience. It's the little details like freshly cooked cakes available every afternoon, that make this Inn very special. Book early to ensure...

We biked into town and stayed for one night. Breakfast was great, our room was clean and the whole inn was decorated nicely. Our hosts told us where to find drinks and snacks, where to hose off and store our bikes and offered information about events going on in town. They went out of their way to make sure we...

Good B&B with off street parking and only 5 minutes walk into town. Spotlessly clean, nicely decorated room with a comfortable bed. Coffee, tea, home made cookies and sherry were available all day in the lounge. There is a lovely sitting porch upstairs at the back of the house with rocking chairs, a nice place to relax with a beer...

We stayed at the Inn twice. Once on the way biking to Pittsburgh and another on the way back to DC. Both times were delightful, with a comfortable living area and quaint rooms. Great little sitting porch at the back of the building, nice place for a beer or glass of wine

The Thomas Shepherd Inn is beautifully decorated, has first class amenities and a very friendly owner. Could not ask for a better experience for my one night stay. Would definitely stay here whenever I am nearby. Every room is delightful and the common areas are fantastic.

We made last-minute arrangements to stay at the inn, while on the road. We called about an hour before arrival to book, and were told there was room at the inn. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly, and given a tour prior to check-in. As there was more than one room available, we were permitted to choose our preference. We...

I'd had a hot day biking the C&O Canal and was so glad when I arrived at the TSI. Immediately I noticed what a gracious hostess Lauren was as she showed me where to stow my bike & gear, where the cold drinks were, and advised she'd upgraded me to room with private bath as my original room had some...

We were in the area for a friend's wedding. A number of couples were staying here. It was a very nice place. High-marks all around, there really wasn't anything I'd change. Everything was well-executed. Bed was comfy, bathroom was modern, we didn't use the Wi-Fi or TV, but they were present. Had good 4G Verizon coverage too. Furniture and decorating...
