The front desk manager is a reflection of the resort room - both are terrible. Unmade room, noisy and drafty doors, smelly a/c, leaky tap in bathroom. The manager had a terrible attitude when I called to discuss with her. An apology would have been acceptable

I read the staff was rude and unprofessional but nothing could have prepared me for the verbal lashing my family took from a maintenance person at the pool. As soon as we arrived for an afternoon swim a maintenance man just about beat down the outside entrance door, knocking to get into the pool area. My daughter in law went to let him in and he was screaming at her and pointing to the door saying "NOW" as soon as she opened the door he starting screaming at my grandchildren asking them if they saw the barricade he put up on the steps. We had just arrived and there was no barricade. Apparently another guest had removed it before we got there. I asked him who his supervisor was twice and all he replied was upstairs. As I proceeded out the door to go upstairs a women was on her way in. I don't know who she was but she told the man to stop and called him to her. As I explained what had just happened, she proceeded to ask if I was a homeowner and offered no apology. This question is disturbing; the fact is, management does not realize that if the guests are treated poorly then the homeowners cannot rent their cabins. I was upset over the treatment my family was receiving after spending a lot of money ($5000.00 just for the cabin rental) at this resort and all she cared about was if I was a homeowner. It is evident that the entry level staff are running this place and there is a huge absence in management. Hospitality is not trained to the staff and is not a priority at this establishment. Most of the guards were unfriendly but there were a couple that seemed ok. We were not greeted with a welcome to Alpine Resort or enjoy your stay, it was as though we were bothering them and treated as we didn't belong. Needless to say we will not be visiting again, really a shame, 2 of my children live close and I was hoping this could be a yearly family reunion location. Management seems to reply with excuses to the other reviews on here but doesn't address the issues at hand. The writing is on the wall yet they ignore it. I'm surprised the homeowners tolerate the poor management.

First the Course: Between the mountains and the lake, the views are beautiful. The course is horrendous. The fairways are okay, but pasture grass, with some bare spots. The greens are atrocious, with large patches dead from disease. When the move the cup, the old location is not properly repaired. It's obvious they don't treat or water the greens beyond the practice green. It is certainly not worth $53. Management: As others have noted, the older couple managing the clubhouse are rude and incompetent. Customer service is completely lacking. There's no course marshal even if you call for assistance with slow play. It took 3 hours to play 9 holes with no remediation (refund, raincheck), nothing. They failed to tell us there was an outing when we called to make tee times. Facilities: Antiquated and in disrepair. Good luck getting restaurant or front desk service. Non-existent. Overall: We won't be back. We typically play 6-10 times a year and purchase stay and play packages. We're done. We won't even give the stay and play packages to someone else because of the horrible experience with staff. Read the online reviews... nothing has changed for years. The service sucks. This review is looking pretty epic! Nice!

Great golf course. Uniformed and very rude staff. Customer service completely lacking. Employees need to be trained for their positions . Golf manager extremely rude with zero finesse or willingness to help. Has potential but customer services completely lacking.

My friend booked two nights rooms for our vacation. We were looking forward to kayaking, playing tennis and golfing. The lake was gorgeous and the golf course was inviting. However when we checked the room it was more like motel rooms rather than resort. The lobby, the main building, swimming pool, recreation room does not have the resort style that you’d expect and all looks old, worn out, dilapidated and desperately need serious upgrades. We decided not to stay in the hotel when we opened up the bedroom. Turned out the office was plan to close that wee we check in. So no room service nor restaurant. I’m not sure how’s this establishment was even allowed to open since the closest restaurants are 15 miles away. What if there’s an emergencies? Not gonna try to book this resort again. Not recommended.

This place is a bit old fashioned. Very clean but right now they are only offering desk service for part of the week. It was a stopover stay for us while we headed back home. Serviceable room but a little tired.

My BF and I went there on 12/11/21 and ordered the prime rib. Very few sides to order and no baked potato on the menu? The cook sent our prime rib out with copious amounts of fat attached. I did tell the hostess prime rib is not served that way and is to be weighed after fat trimmed off. ( I am talking 304 inches around the rib, and about 1 1/2 inch thick, it was gross) No offers of apology . The side of broiled mushrooms is nothing more that a cheap can of mushroom stems and pieces heated. Sweet potato fries were cold. The tossed salad was made with wilted lettuce. grape tomatoes were mushy. My first experience in their dining room and the last . No wonder they were not busy.

First, please know that the poor reviews are to be believed. This is my first ever review; and I want you to know that this motel is really depressing. It's totaly insane that anybody would give this motel 4-5 stars. First, please, please do not bring your toddlers or younger kids to this motel. The carpet is too dirty, funky and musty for shoes yet alone your child's keens and hands. The room's odor will make you keep your mask on even if you are vaccinated. I used nearly an entire can of Lysol and Bath & Body Works' room perfume to no avail. The awful, soil, odor is entrenched in not just the carpet; but, the severely out dated chairs as well. The chairs are so old that they deflat about 8 inches when sit on them and you cannot even reach the top of the table if you wanted to use it (be sure to cover the chairs with a towel or something) My husband and I wanted to play some dominos but that was impossible. However, we later figured out that if we moved the table over to the bed that I could sit on the bed and he could raise chair up by gathering and stacking chairs pillows. The tub had dirt grind stains. The electrical outlets did not work so it was a challenge to charge your phone up and have sufficent light at the same time. Also, you dont have to worry about watching too much TV because you cannot see the full screen because the bed is higher than the TV stand so you will strain your neck looking down if you desire to see the TV's full screen. The pool water looked a little cloudy. The game room decor is old and ugly and you need lots of quarters to enjoy it. The pool table should be free similar to the outdated books. And because of the attractive pricing, two beds $105 per night makes it a great place to house construction workers coming from other locals to perform all the building going on in the area. As a result, late at night the motel parking lot lookes, sounds, and felt like a truck stop. And the chipped paint and rotten deck railings, just adds to the truck stop vibe. Now, because this is a honest review, I will tell you what amenities were "adquate." My sheets and towels were white and clean, the linen was suspect; but I never have anything to do with them anyway. Also, there was adequate soap dispensers, the toilet seat appeared to be farily new. The refrigerator and micro were clean and worked sufficently. There was plenty hot water for shower. But the saving grace, was the gorgeous grounds. the golf course is well maintained and there is a sort of peace and tranquility like no other place I have ever been. The small private beach is very enjoyable for the entire family. The resturant is a mix bag some food "tasty" and some food just not too good but nothing I tasted was nasty just not yummy.. The staff was very friendly and supportive and so were the guess. I will come back to enjoy the grounds; but, until management makes an effort to invest in this GEM of a property, I will find some other place to sleep. So sad!

The most incredible staff and people i have ever met. Yolanda was a super host and she went way out of her way to make things right for us and make our stay memorable. The location is beautiful with scenic views and not too much commercial activities. The lake is big but not huge, kayaking and canoe boats were really great. The restaurant has very friendly staff and delicious food and also not too expensive. The local residents were all welcoming and friendly. One of them even voluntarily offered to take my son on their ATV. Overall a great experience and i would definitely go back

We had a great week. Unfortunately it was soiled the last evening (6/26/2021)by a power hungry security guard. My daughters and I were jumping off the floating dock in the swim area (as we had done all week and every year prior for several years... so did every other family). The guard walks down to the beach and yells “hey bud, there is no umping or diving off the dock.” In disbelief I said, no jumping? Since when. He says -“ it’s always been the rule! “My wife and sister in law who were on shore challenged this logic since the sign clearly says “no diving”. He pulls out his policy which mirrored the sign...then says “jumping is diving”. He knew he was wrong but doubled down instead of agreeing he read the policy wrong. Also-he advised them he was an employee of 13yrs. Surely he knows the policy?! Then proceeds to tell them that if my daughters want to jump that’s fine but if I do I’ll get a$75 fine. Really? Now your dining me for a rule that isn’t broke? What kind of resort is this. One property owner on the beach voiced her displeasure and said she was embarrassed for the way he acted. I will be filling a formal complaint with the board of directors, general manager and security boss. I should add-the rest of the staff and security has always been great.
