This was Trip number seven to the Greenbrier and I am looking forward to the next opportunity to return. As always, it is a an incredible treat. It is a step back in time to an era of the great resorts. First, let me say that the hotels is almost fully recovered from the 2016 floods. There is limited access...

We took our elderly parents here for a trip down memory lane as they had celebrated their honeymoon here sixty years ago. We stayed for two nights and the staff were absolutely amazing. This is a very large resort, but the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff made us feel as if we were the only ones in the hotel....

We just returned from three nights and two days at the Greenbrier. It's an absolutely beautiful resort with high quality food and service, plus lots of activities for a variety of tastes. The staff is extremely friendly, with that southern charm. There are several very good restaurants. We loved the food at the Forum, which is the Italian restaurant. It...

We stayed at the Greenbrier during the uncrowded lull between Easter and the start of the summer season. This is a serious resort with massive buildings and a 150+ year history of families summering at the Greenbrier. Rescued from near bankruptcy following the 2007 financial crisis, the current Greenbrier owner has reportedly spent over $300m in restoration and expansion. And...

Greenbrier is for people who love fifities style top notch decor. The staff is extremely professional and friendly. This is usually an expensive place. My wife loves it and has been there many times. She prefers to take advantage of their frequent deals during their slower times

Where do we begin? Classic elegance in a beautiful mountain setting. Porter handling and check in smooth, fully equipped and spacious room(we had the lowest grade king), concierge willing to handle any dining request or other issue, indoor pool just like the one at the Hearst mansion. Well heated outdoor pool. Golf courses just coming back on-line after last year's...

This review is about the newly opened Smoothie Shop by the tennis courts. They have a whopping 4, count 'em, 4 smoothies on the menu. The rest of the menu basically consists of bottled Powerade. What a joke. Great place to stop for a bottle of Powerade (don't forget the 6.5% Historical Preservation Fee!)

We stayed with The Greenbrier 5/12 and 5/13. The service is unbelievable. The staff (from valet to housekeeping) are friendly and extra helpful. We were greeted at check-in with welcome champagne. Be prepared because after only 2 nights, I have a lot to say about this place... Pros- *Complimentary Adventure Zone for the kids since it was Mother's Day weekend.
