We enjoyed relaxing here for a few days here in early September - no TV, little/no wifi, and couples only (no kids to be seen). Setting is lovely, lodge is historic (think National Parks era...similar to Bryce Canyon or El Tovar), staff is helpful. It...More
Wonderful staff at this very original early 1900's Island Lodge. The history of the property is very interesting and there are plenty of activities to keep you active indoors and out. Rooms and buildings need a bit of TLC as the years have worn them...More

Always a tough question to answer! If it is just the two of you, Shore Lodge is an excellent choice for couples as it is adults-only and very closely overlooks the water. Any of the rooms in that cabin would be excellent choices--Shore Lodge 1, 2, 3, and Shore Lodge 5 rooms are probably most common for shorter stays since Shore Lodge 6 has a full kitchen. Other great choices would be Allison 2, Harry 2, Katherine 3, or any of the eight Douglas/Wilson rooms (these two cabins are pretty much the same). I hope this helps! -Emily
