Beautiful park, nice beach, pretty wooded and large campsites. We camped there for a week in Sept. and it was cold!! The hiking trails were nice but my 11 yr old was dying...too long. Few campers were there, mostly snow birds passing thru. The ranger told us its pretty busy during the summer. There is an ice cream shop/store and...

a very beautiful lake. the camping is in the woods away from the lake. each site is private and very nice. limited electric sites, we were there during the week so not to many people. very few lights and very quiet. the real show begins around night fall, they have close to 100 bat houses in the park, when the...

The cutbacks in Wisconsin state government was evident this past weekend when my wife and I took our first trip to Yellowstone. We try to take our little popup camper to a different state park every year. This year Yellowstone's fishing and hiking opportunities sparked our interest. Unfortunately, it's lack of official supervision/maintenance was disappointing to say the least. With...

We have been here on three separate occasions and it has always been a nice visit. There is plenty to do here like fishing, swimming, hiking, camping, boating, and more. The campsites are very nice and most of them are wooded and somewhat private. The shower building is new and has nice facilities. The lake is nice to explore, I...

We stayed here one night on our way back home. We selected a great little site that was near the bathrooms but far enough not to be bothered by them. It was quiet and well maintained. The bathrooms were clean and never too busy. The site was $18/night; not sure why it was more than other WI state park tent...

We stayed at one of the walk in electrical sites and they it was wonderful. We had a great stay. So many things to do. They have trails, swimming, hiking, biking. They keep the park well maintained. They have one main shower are at with running toilets otherwise they have pit toilets. If you use the walk on sites you...

Yellowstone is set in the beautiful Driftless Area, and has lots to recommend it: seclusion, lots of wildlife, canoe rentals, and a convenient dairy bar (the latter two being privately run). Still, we found the staffing and maintenance of the park itself to be substandard. There was no one on site to help when we rolled in around 5 PM,...

My friends and I go camping here every year, usually on Memorial Day Weekend but this year we went over the 4th of July. It’s a great campsite. We’ve stayed at 3 different kinds of sites here, and they’re all good. The sites are pretty close together but still far enough apart for some privacy from the other campers. And...

The park ranger's were friendly and very informative and helpful. The sites were very well kept. The lake was beautiful and the trails were excellent - plenty of wildlife to enjoy. The bat show was great and the bats in the area keep the mosquito population to a minimum. We are RV campers and the roads in the camping area...
