Our campsite was good and flat so tent placements were not a problem.Since they have the bats, there were no mosquites which is always a plus. They do have flushable toilets/showers which i would say was better/cleaner than other camping locations before. The beach area is very small and crowded. You wont be able to say set up a volleyball...

When you think of state parks in SW Wisconsin you immediately think of Governor Dodge. We actually prefer the smaller parks so we chose Yellowstone. We were not disappointed at all. Great sites with plenty of shade. Nice facilities and a wonderful lake. Tons of boats there fishing and the guys I talked to said the fishing was great. Clean...

Spent 4 nights camping at Yellowstone Lake State Park last week with my pop-up camper, and every night we had bats swarming the camper and crawling into the crevice betwen the hard top and the canvas walls to roost. One bat got into our camper and scared the heck out of us at 2:00 am. Needless to say, this was...

Spent a couple of nights here recently. We were blown away by the beauty of the area! The park has so much to offer: a gorgeous lake, wooded campsites, a nightly 'bat' show, eagles and other birds soaring and fishing in the lake, a clean lake, ice cream for the kiddos, clean flush toilets and showers trails,, boat rentals, on...

We just got back from camping at Yellowstone Lake State Park. The lake was beautiful - we boated, swam and fished. Our campsite was very nice and the rangers were friendly and helpful. We went mid-week so we almost had the place to ourselves. The facilities were very nice (we stayed near a flush toilet, the pit toilets were horrible)...

I have a mixed bag of feedback. The sites were too close to each other unlike say Governor Dodge State Park. The hiking trails were pedestrian. On the other hand the unofficial diving hole on the other side of the lake is unique and the boating rates are very reasonable. The beach is very nice as are the park rangers...

Yellowstone Lake State Park has nothing on that other Yellowstone. It is, however, pleasantly scenic and well appointed with recreational activities. High quality fishing, as well as enjoyable swimming, hiking, and wildlife-viewing are available only steps from the campground. The campground itself is well-spaced and shaded. Though you will be accompanied by hundreds of fellow campers on a summer weekend,...

smaller campground which is nice. Sites are separated very nicely, we stayed at a walk in site and loved it. It's about a two minute hike though so be ware if you don't want to carry your stuff that far. Two boat landings and a swimming area made it easy to utilize the lake. Rented a paddle boat for 3...

We have stayed at this campground before and we liked the beach so much we went back again. Everything was good this time, the flush bathrooms were clean, the group lot we stayed on was big, the beach and lake was nice. The only gripes are the long walk (no vehicles allowed) to get down to our site, and the...
