The white fish is good and fresh. Would have liked to try the lake trout on my many visits although they never seem to have any when I ask. Great small town atmosphere. Cold beer. Quaint. Close to the water. I would recommend this place to anyone for a decent meal.

Very quiet and tastefully appointed. Comfortably turned to make for a pleasant overnight. The restaurant below is very good as well. Priced right and we will return. Our small dog enjoyed the night as well. Will return.

The Village Inn was a pleasant surprise. We were originally supposed to go camping, but unexpected frost (in Mid-September yikes!) prevented us from camping, so we googled cheap places to stay in Bayfield Co. and The Village Inn came up in our search and we were so glad it did.

We enjoyed our time at the Gull's Nest. It is on a hill overlooking Lake Superior. The backyard was peaceful and secluded. It was a short walk down the hill to our favorite beach in the world. The inside was nice, however there were a few things that were not as we expected.

"I don't know how much difference there really is between the rooms but we stayed in the Autumn room and it was very nice."
"Look elsewhere first of all. The winter room is the smallest and if you like quiet at night (on weekends) be sure your room is at the far end as the Tiki bar has live music on the weekends."
