Love what they did to this classic hotel and Conference Center. Our room was spectacular over looking Green Lake. Great sunset watching. Nice Balcony. Good proximity to Chicagoland. Appropriate rates. Great fire pit. Great sound system. FIre pit was a melting pot for many to gather at end of day. One night there was a University Professor, a Marketing Exec, a Building Engineer, and an Astronaut all talking around the Pit. Saw some international celebrities there too during our stay, Management was onsite and active. Great bar and restaurants. Good outdoor entertainment too. Very impressed.
Comfortable and lovely updates. Room was spacious, clean, updated, and had access to shared balcony overlooking Green Lake. While staffing may not be at 100%, the staff here have been phenomenal and friendly. You can tell they are trying to ramp this up to the glorious resort of the past, with a modern atmosphere. The patio with firepit is not to be missed on a gorgeous evening! My only negative: a small group of guests whose privlidge showed too much. Left their drink glasses on the firepit, sofa seats & chairs strewn about the patio, & thought it appropriate to smoke cigars in close proximity to our group. Hope they learn to do better & share beautiful spaces with others in the future.
I enjoyed a fantastic 4 day weekend at the Heidel House resort in Green Lake, Wisconsin. This resort and convention center has been recently renovated. The accommodations were first rate and the staff was friendly and helpful. Great location, walking distance from the town. I can’t wait to return.
We had a room right next to the pool and outdoor fire pit. The pool was very refreshing and the fire pit at night had a couple guitar players that were really good. Ate dinner at the restaurant and the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. My wife and i walked into town the next day and enjoyed the local flavor and the Chilli Cookoff. Just a great, relaxing weekend.
We held a friends reunion for eight total guests, eight rooms, one fantastic dinner, one breakfast, one Sunday Brunch, enjoyed two beautiful nights at the fire pit lounge outside the bar. The outside pool, inside pool and indoor hot tub were very clean and relaxing. The guest rooms are very clean, professionally decorated and remodeled, many with private balconies and amenities such as wet bar, oversized shower, and beautiful bed coverings with the hotel logo. The hotel lobby hosted live music both nights and there is so much to do during the day like walking to town, going out on the lake, and golf and spa right across the street from the hotel.
