I came back to my room #3 on break to let my dog out and smelled something horrible. I quickly found out from friends staying there that the tenants mini meth lab blew up. I opened the windows and had to go back to work. The owners never said anything about it and let my dog and I to breathe the mustard gas in. I still at times think about suing them! They don't care about anyone. I think that room should be tested for remnants!
Great place to stay, country feeling, nice family run motel. Rooms were cozy and very clean. Good shower and thick towels! They had just decorated for Halloween. The owner recommended some places in town for us to have dinner and a drink. A very nice experience!
Poorly maintained, no hot water. Seemed to be a lot of traffic in and out all night for a quiet location outside of town. Only spent one night, but would not recommend it at all. Ended up going to the Super 8 in Beaver Dam and felt much safer there!
Noisy room and NO hot water in the shower! Lukecold at best. Plenty of hot water in the sink, so I don't understand how the shower can be so cold. All we wanted was a room with a bed and a shower, didn't know we'd have to ask for warm water to go with that. Skip this place, drive the extra 14 miles to Beaver Dam and stay there!
My husband and I had a nice weekend here while visiting the marsh. It was very clean and the staff was all friendly and helpful. It has a charming rustic atmosphere that fits well with the town and the marsh. We will definitely be staying again.
