Shane Acres really is like going home to visit mom! When you stay here, you are treated like family! The Inn is very picturesque and even has a swimming pool and tree swings. The lawn is well maintained and it's a pleasure to sit outside enjoying it all while drinking your beverage of choice. The rooms are all nicely decorated and and very comfortable. In addition to all this, they are pet friendly! Our dog was able to join us on vacation, even though they have a resident cats.

You go to this place for the facilities and the hosts, let me tell you why. Our family of four stayed here in a suite for two nights midweek. The bed was amazing, nice lines, very comfortable and adjustable. One of our kids slept on the pullout from the chair, it was also super comfy. We had plenty of room for all 4 of us in the suite. The room had been remodeled and had a HUGE bathroom, super soft carpet, lots of TV options, mini fridge, etc. My kids loved the outdoor pool and the old school pool table in the lower level. The hosts also set up lawn games for my kids during the day, and we all enjoyed the hot tub. Because we were there midweek we had the place to our self, which was great. Breakfast is very kid friendly, it is made when you want to eat. There was cereal and fruit to eat while waiting for the hot food, which was bacon, eggs and either pancakes or waffles. We live about 4 hours from here, if we were closer, I would come back often as my kids loved it and the hosts are very sweet.

Our stay was awesome! The owners are very friendly, the rooms are nice and it's in a beautiful location. The price was great too. It was our first stay in a B&B and was a great experience. Jackie and Richard really want everyone to have a good time. The breakfast was yummy every day and it was fun visiting with everyone around the table. Our daughter and her friend came out from the local college and we had a weiner/marshmallow roast in the backyard on a beautiful evening and played table games in the kitchen. We felt right at home. My husband loved hearing the cranes. We can't say enough good things. We definitely want to return!

This is the place to stay. The previous reviews were about the suites as will this one after talking about everything else. They have less expensive rooms upstairs with a shared bathroom. Still nice but nothing like the suites. This place is in the farm lands and about ten to twenty minute from the hustle and bustle of the city. Still can hear some traffic as well as the cranes. There is also a hiking trail close to the place. The swimming pool should be up in the next month or two depending on the weather. They even have a small exercise room. This is also a house with people, it is very homey. We had one of the suites had a glass that led to the hot tub/Jacuzzi. Which was wonderful. It was outside but due to quietness and the stars, it was incredible. Afterwards we used the Jacuzzi bath tub and drank sparkling grape juice in wine glasses (provided). There are candles near the bath tub but we did not use them. This suite had a sink with a water filter, a microwave, and a refrigerator. The room was huge. The small wooden floor area designating the kitchen had a Chester drawer and a table with leaves that you could put up. The main room designated by carpet had a king bed with a lot of features. There was also a comfy chair and a large TV. In our suite, they have wonderful sayings including a few from the Bible and a clock that spelled out love. At two o clock in the morning I went outside. There were several places to sit and take in the quietness including a regular chair, a swing, as well as other places to sit and swing. Breakfast was great. Put your phone away, it will not work well and disconnect.
