Been to the cottage here several times and we are always overwhelmed with the beauty of the surroundings, the bluffs are just beautiful and the view from the cabin is amazing. Only a little over an hour from the cities, but you feel like you are way out in the middle of nature. Not a sound at night when going...

Anniversary weekend away with a 10-month old baby in June -- big success! It's a short drive from the Cities but an easy one -- and you really do feel like you're away from everything when you get there. Two bedrooms meant we could set up the pack-n-play in a quiet space for the baby. Games, drums, books, and movies...

This was my third visit and realized I hadn't reviewed Journey Inn even though I tell people about it all the time. The first two stays were with my husband in the main house and the third was a girls getaway in the cottage. They are different experiences but both still enjoyable. House: both visits we stayed in the Fire...

We stayed in the Fire Room and it was super comfortable, well appointed, and quiet despite being on the first floor. Charlene and John treated us like family throughout our stay. The tips on exploring the area were invaluable, the breakfast was substantial enough to get us through the day. We will definitely visit again!

What a great little place. I was there as part of a weekend "invasion" by a large group for a family event. Absolutely lovely rooms and common areas - just a great area to walk around, relax and enjoy. I was probably more "alternative" than most of the folks in my group, who would have been happy at a holiday...

Our first stay with John and Charlene.... in the Air Room. I couldn't have asked for a better one evening stay anywhere. It will now become our go-to getaway! They are a lovely couple, supplied us with a plentiful cheese board and organic fruit upon our arrival and the breakfast this morning was hearty, local and organic - fresh fruit,...

This was my third stay at The Journey Inn and they have yet to disappoint. Charlene and John are lovely hosts and you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The property is beautiful and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. This stay was another "girls weekend getaway" and The Journey Inn meets our needs in every way. We...

I first came two years ago with three girlfriends and had a great weekend. My husband and I returned for a stay this past weekend and it was just as lovely as the first. Our hosts, Charlene and John, were amazing and were very accommodating. Both the Inn and the surrounding property are beautiful. Cleanliness is a must for me...

I could not have imagined a more perfect place to spend some much needed time for relaxation and renewal. The owners have created an amazing space. The inn is warm and inviting and the Air room, where I stayed was clean, airy and comfortable, in fact the bed is one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on. There are...

Had a lovely Earth Day weekend in the Water Room at the Journey Inn in Maiden Rock, Wisconsin. It is a B & B type inn with 4 rooms inside and a cottage next door. Everything there is organic and ecological so it is a bit pricey. For example, they used clay-based paint, all linens & bedding with natural fiber,...
