The Pfister makes a rather grand statement when you pull up and walk into the lobby. What a grand historic hotel. The lobby is amazing, and so is the service. The property fell a little flat for me in the room, speaking honestly. Many of the furnishings look cheap and generic and are a little worn. The highlights of the...

Thank you 'ittessot' for the review. You will find that we have recently renovated our Tower and offer the Pfister Tower rooms with more of a modern style and guest room décor as you mentioned. I can assure you that our Pfister Historic guest rooms offer a little more of the traditional guest room experience while still offering modern day...

We enjoyed a one night stay July 12th. Upon checking in, the clerk, Eric, noticed I had just celebrated my birthday. He then upgraded us to a beautiful suite. We asked for suggestions about the area and he offered excellent, helpful ideas. The Pfister is the oldest hotel in Milwaukee however it has all the amenities of a 21st century hotel....

Stunning older hotel in downtown Milwaukee with outstanding service on all levels. Comfortable and fully equipped rooms with all conveniences needed. Hotel restaurants are above average and the immediate neighborhood has German, Italian, Cuban, Moroccan and Thai restaurants as well as a host of coffee shops and luncheonettes.

Stumbled across this gem by accident on a trip to pick up daughter from college. First trip to Milwaukee and wanted to stay downtown. Service across the board was excellent, staff could not have been any friendlier. Fascinating history, one of the most expensive hotels built in America in its day. One of the most ornate lobbies I've seen, the...

We booked this hotel based on its location (downtown) and the reviews. It is ranked as a 4-star hotel, but having recently stayed at a 5 star hotel elsewhere in the state I was a bit disappointed. I realize the historic value of the hotel, it had some beautiful art work and was quite stately. The room was nice and...

Stayed on the 21st floor in the tower section of the Pfister. The room was a nice size, the king bed comfortable & the bathroom well appointed. We enjoyed access to the club room on the 23rd floor. Evening appetizers and the honor bar were a wonderful option after work. Blu was also nice but cocktails were overpriced by $2-3....

We recently stayed in one of the few remaining Grand Hotels in the USA. If you've ever stayed at The Palmer House or The Drake hotel in Chicago, or the Waldorf Astoria in New York, you won't be disappointed in this one. In fact, in many ways, I believe it may have been better. The hotel staff in every facet...

This is the grande dame of the Milwaukee hotels. I first stayed here over spring break in 1979 when I came with my family to check out Marquette University which would later become my alma mater in 1983. We stayed for 2 nights in 2 rooms this year as our youngest son got accepted to the business school at Marquette...

Amazingly well-preserved and/or restored architectural details in common areas and guest room. Accommodations very spacious and thoughtfully furnished (2 full-size chairs). Bay window with panoramic view. King-sized bed extremely comfortable. Mosaic tile floor in the bathroom was very anti-skid. Extremely clean without a hint of past smoke. Only complaint is being charged for wi-fi.

Beautiful and historic hotel. We only had breakfast at the hotel, but is was good and reasonably priced. Our room was in the historic part of the hotel; comfortably sized (felt especially spacious due to the very high ceilings), and the bedding was quite comfortable. We appreciated all the historic touches throughout the hotel. The location is excellent. Our only...
